With a mission of preventing blindness and preserving sight, Prevent Blindness Georgia annually provides vision screenings for nearly 40,000 prekindergarten children as well as vision screening training for school and public health nurses to make sure our state's children are "vision ready" to learn. Prevent Blindness Georgia also provides free eye exams, retinal scans, and prescription glasses to uninsured Georgians through a network of free health clinics and community agencies that serve the homeless, victims of domestic violence, Veterans, migrant farm workers, and others who would otherwise be without eyecare.
