We also know there is no cure for lead poisoning or the damage caused from exposure. Recommendations often include items to include in the child’s diet and establishing a supportive home environment. But what can you do to help them be more successful in school and in life? Join us on January 18, 2023 at 4:00 PM Pacific /5:00 Mountain//6:00 PM Central/7:00 PM Eastern as Amy Barto, M.Ed., from the Learning Disabilities Association (LDA) of Michigan and Tracy Gregoire, LDA’s Healthy Children Project Director share tips and strategies for teaching and supporting children who have been exposed to lead.

October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month, Dyslexia Awareness Month, National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Awareness Month! The IEP team can be composed of many people depending on the student's needs. The IEP team must have a student’s parent or guardian, at least one general education teacher, at least one special education teacher, and a school district representative who has the power to approve services and resources. Each member of the team is important. Come learn more about how IEP collaboration, including deep discussions about data, student strengths, and important grade-level content, improve the process of developing an IEP. Register for the free zoom presentation introducing Utah’s “Reflective Framework for IEP development.” This presentation will be on October 11, 2022 from 5 to 6 PM.

I recently completed neuropsychological intakes with teen triplet girls and their mother to address concerns related to learning struggles.
