A hammertoe is an abnormally crooked, contracted toe that takes the shape of an inverted "V." This condition develops when a muscle or tendon imbalance causes the toe to buckle and eventually become stuck in a bent position. Treatment for a hammertoe depends on the severity of the condition, but there are many simple adjustments that can help provide relief.

A spa pedicure feels great, but it can sometimes come with hidden risks like infections, toenail fungus, or ingrown nails. 👣
If you want to protect your foot health, consider creating a relaxing at-home pedicure routine instead. It’s safer, cleaner, and still just as calming.

Your feet deserve care that keeps them healthy, not just polished. 💙

🦶 Struggling with Nail Fungus? You’re Not Alone.

Nail fungus often starts as a small white or yellow spot under your nail, easy to miss, but quick to spread. It’s especially common in adults, athletes, swimmers, and anyone who’s had a nail injury.

The good news? You don’t have to live with it. Modern podiatry offers safe, effective treatments that can restore your nails and confidence.

If you’re noticing discoloration, thickening, or changes in your toenails, it may be time to get expert care.

👣 Your Achilles Tendon Works Hard for You!

The Achilles tendon plays a huge role in every step you take. It connects your calf muscles to your heel, giving you the power to walk, run, and jump. But when it’s overstretched, it can become injured or even tear.

If you’re feeling sharp pain, swelling, or trouble walking, it’s important to get it checked right away. Achilles injuries often don’t heal correctly without expert care, and delaying treatment can make things worse.

At Elite Foot & Ankle Associates, we help you recover safely and get back on your feet with confidence.

Are you diabetic? Here are three tips to help keep your feet healthy!

1. Inspect your feet daily for any cuts, bruises, or sores.
2. Wear thick, soft socks to protect your feet and keep them warm.
3. Do not try to remove calluses, corns, or warts by yourself.
Always consult your podiatrist or foot care specialist for treatment.
