Do you know a Veteran? Make sure they RSVP for our event and they will be officially honored. All are welcome to attend and thank our Veterans.

The Sandy Senior and Community Center, in partnership with Mt. Hood Hospice, will host a community Veterans Pinning Ceremony for all generations on November 14th at 2:00pm.

A Veterans Pinning Ceremony is a way to honor veterans and thank them for their service. The ceremony gives an opportunity for each veteran to stand and receive a pin and star (from a retired flag) in recognition of the branch and war they served in.

We welcome everyone to come and show their support. If you are a veteran please RSVP by calling us at 503-668-5569 so that we can ensure your recognition during the ceremony

Thank you to this years wonderful event sponsors: Maeco of Oregon, and Cascadia Village Senior Living by Cogir

The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., along with its Mobile Education Center, will be on display at the Independence Sports Complex in Independence, Oregon, from September 18–21, 2025.

This free exhibit is open to the public 24 hours a day, offering a powerful opportunity to honor and remember those who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War.

Visitors can experience:
