I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!

In the light of a new week, here are some tips to maintaining great foot health for diabetics!

1. Inspect your feet daily!
2. Be gentle when washing your feet!
3. Moisturize, moisturize, and moisturize your feet and toes.
4. Cut nails carefully and always straight across.
5. Never trim corns and calluses. Ouch!
6. Wear clean socks!
7. Avoid loose fitting and or tight fitting socks. Get what fits you best,
8. Wear socks to bed. It sounds weird, but it does help.
9. Shake out your shoes and inspect for other rocks or other pesky irritations.
10. Keep your feet warm and dry. Also moisturized!
11. Never walk barefoot, unless if it is around your house.
12. Take care of your diabetes.
13. Don't smoke and or do drugs. It hinders your body's functionality drastically.
14. Get periodic foot exams.
