Rik Derrick ; my condolences to his wife and family. I understand he passed away on the 29th. How long ago Rik and I met each other in Yosemite national Park. We became friends after learning to climb in Yosemite lol. We went cragging at the local cracks around the Valley. we both enjoyed each other‘s company. So we embarked on a great adventure. We climbed the nose of El Capitan together. A few years later in 1982 I believe, we skied into the Alaska range of the buckskin glacier with another couple of fellows. I lived in Anchorage for five years and did numerous adventures ski touring and ice climbing with Rik. Rest in peace, my friend my condolences to all of you, wife and family that I do not believe I ever met. His friend, Keith Stevens
