After Utah artist Zachary Proctor faced a rare bone cancer, he and his wife Claire decided to give back.

When you donate tomorrow at the University of Utah Homecoming Blood Drive, you're helping patients right here in our community.
Your blood donation is separated into components that meet urgent, real-time needs:

🩸Red Blood Cells: Used for trauma, surgery, and anemia

🩸Platelets: Essential for patients with cancer and those undergoing bone marrow transplants

🩸Plasma: Supports burn victims and people with clotting disorders

These components are processed within hours and go directly to patients at University of Utah Hospitals, Clinics, and the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

ARUP Blood Services is a nonprofit and the sole blood provider for these facilities. Their mission is to ensure a safe and reliable blood supply for Utah patients—100% of your donation stays local.
