If you’ve been in the office recently, you might have seen some new faces! At SparksMD Family Medicine, we regularly host pre-medical students — along with medical students and resident physicians — who shadow in our clinic as part of their journey toward a career in medicine. 🩺

These hands-on experiences offer future healthcare professionals a unique window into patient-centered care, longer visits, and the strong doctor-patient relationships that make the Direct Primary Care model truly special.

We’re proud to play a role in mentoring the next generation of medical professionals as they explore what compassionate, accessible care looks like in real life. 💡

Over the weekend, Dr. Sparks had the privilege of being a speaker at this year’s - a conference specifically for Direct Primary Care Docs and Docs interested in DPC.

We’re celebrating by asking: What’s your “why”? Why do you lace up and hit the pavement?

At SparksMD Family Medicine, we’re running with purpose as we prepare for the RunDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend— to fundraise for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and support kids fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Most of you know Dr. Sparks is a proudly amateur runner (squarely so 😄), but every mile means more when it’s for a cause that matters.

New toy- we mean tool- Thursday! If you have been in the clinic with ear pain recently, you may have seen this device already. We recently brought the OtoSight from PhotoniCare into our clinic. This device lets us better see in the middle ear to rapidly make more accurate assessments! Plus, you get to see a high deficiency view of all the bugs inside your ear! (Just kidding about the bugs-maybe)

We’ve been a little quiet on social media recently. (Sorry.) We’re ready to show you what we have been up to! Now offering personalized nutrition!

If you have been in the office recently, you may have seen or experienced our body composition scanner. For over a year, we’ve been offering free body composition scans to help our patients achieve their health goals. It turns out, there’s a huge need for additional support though, and high-quality, accessible nutrition counseling has been difficult for our patients. So we decided to change that and add it to our clinic directly!
