I know you’ve been told “he’s just being a boy,” “she’ll grow out of it” or “you’re worrying too much.”

But here’s what I wish someone had said instead:
“Trust your gut, what you’re noticing matters.”
“You don’t have to wait for things to get worse before getting help.”
“Your child’s challenges deserve more than a wait-and-see approach.”

You deserve support that meets you with clarity, compassion and tools that actually help.

When this 3-year-old first came to me, he wasn’t talking.
He wasn’t ready to play with others.
He was overwhelmed, frustrated and hiding wherever he could.

Daily routines felt like battles and meltdowns came often. His world felt too big, too loud, too much.

But we started with regulation, built connection and then worked on communication.
Slowly, the light came back.

Now?
He’s saying “Mama.”
He’s singing “The Wheels on the Bus.”
He’s smiling and no longer hiding.

Not because it was easy.
But because he showed up and our play met him exactly where he was.

This is why we do what we do.
Real kids. Real change. Real hope.

Here’s what most people get wrong about early speech and language delays.
They think it’s all about getting kids to say more words when really it’s about connection, regulation, and understanding how your child processes the world.

Siren test this Wednesday July 9th, 2025!

The Harris Nuclear Plant will conduct a scheduled “Growl” test of the 84 warning sirens within the Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ) this coming Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at approximately 10 AM. The test produces a steady, full volume tone from all sirens for up to 30 seconds.
This is a scheduled test to ensure the siren system is working. In the event of an actual emergency at the Harris Nuclear Plant, the warning sirens would be activated multiple times and residents should then monitor their local television or radio stations for event details and instructions. La Harris Nuclear Plant realizará una prueba de sonido programada de las 84 sirenas de advertencia dentro de la Zona de Planificación de Emergencias (EPZ) el próximo miércoles 9 de julio de 2025, aproximadamente a las 10:00 a. m. La prueba producirá un tono constante y a todo volumen en todas las sirenas durante un máximo de 30 segundos.
Esta prueba programada garantiza el funcionamiento del sistema de sirenas. En caso de una emergencia real en la Planta Nuclear Harris, las sirenas de advertencia se activarán varias veces. You’ve probably been told, "Just keep practicing more, they'll start talking eventually. But here’s what I wish more people actually knew:

If your child’s attention, language, or play skills aren’t growing the way you hoped, it’s rarely about needing more practice. It’s about creating the right foundation first- safety, regulation, connection and a plan that actually fits their brain.

Because without that piece, you end up exhausted, your child feels pressured and you start believing it’s your fault when progress stalls.

The truth? You don’t need to try harder. You need support that sees your whole child (and the whole family), not just the skill.💛
