I had my 6-month checkup and cleaning this week, along with x-rays. Everything went well and I left feeling secure and refreshed. I was advised by my hygienist to try a new toothpaste for sensitivity relief. Dr. Janvier did a thorough follow up after the cleaning and answered my questions and concerns. Everyone in the office is always pleasant and make you feel comfortable. Thanks! Bruce

Local Dentist Earns Credential from American Academy of Implant Dentistry

Dr. Shaun Janvier, DMD of Sanford, ME was recognized as an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). Dr. Janvier maintains a dental practice at Shaun Janvier DMD - Implant Cosmetic & Family Dentistry. 856 Main Street, Sanford, ME.

To qualify for Associate Fellowship, Dr. Janvier completed at least 300 hours of post-doctoral instruction in implant dentistry, performed implant cases, and passed the Academy's Associate Fellow examination. This examination, which is conducted by an expert panel of implant dentists, included a written exam and an oral exam.

The examination process measured Dr. Janvier’s clinical proficiency in surgical and prosthetic dental implant techniques, in-depth knowledge of dental implants, and commitment to excellence in implant dental practice and to the AAID's standards for ethics and patient welfare.

Established in 1951, the AAID is the only dental implant organization that offers credentials recognized as being bona fide by US state and federal courts. Its membership exceeds 4,000 and includes general dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists, and prosthodontists from across the United States and in 57 countries.
