Dr. Janvier wishes to say thank you to this fine gentleman who received his smile transformation over a period of seven years.

The Initial Treatment Plan = Immediate complete upper denture to replace failing teeth, followed up by a conventional final complete denture once the ridge was healed.

Secondary Problem = Over the course of the next 6 years, this patient could not get used to having a complete denture with full palatal coverage. He reported difficulty chewing, altered speech and the denture would drop during eating. This led to tremendous embarrassment. His wish was to have a fixed restoration that would be stable and permanent.

This question seems to bubble up a lot.
Seltzer isn't necessarily bad for your teeth, but it’s also not as harmless as plain water. The carbonation makes it slightly acidic, which can slowly weaken enamel if you sip it throughout the day.

That doesn’t mean you need to stop drinking it. It just means a few simple habits can help protect your smile. Try enjoying seltzer with meals instead of continuously sipping, use a straw when you can, and follow it with plain water to help neutralize the acidity. It’s also best to wait about 20–30 minutes before brushing, since enamel can be softer right after exposure to acids.
