✨ Early Intervention Matters ✨

At our Central Florida clinic, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive 💛

Early intervention services—including Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy (OT), and Physical Therapy (PT)—help children build the foundational skills they need for communication, movement, independence, and learning.

The early years are critical for brain development, making it the best time to support growth and development. Starting therapy early can:
✔️ Improve communication and social skills
✔️ Support motor development and coordination
✔️ Increase independence in daily activities
✔️ Build confidence and school readiness

We work closely with families to create individualized, play-based therapy that meets your child where they are—and helps them reach their full potential 🌱

If you have concerns about your child’s development, don’t wait. Early support can make all the difference.

📣👋Meet the Team!
Michaela Collins, COTA/L, is our new Occupational Therapy Assistant here at CFT! She trained with us as a student OTA, and we’re beyond happy she’s chosen to start her career with us.  She started in June 2025, and brings a strong foundation and fresh passion to her work.
She is originally from Manorville, Long Island, New York, Michaela moved to Florida after graduating high school in 2019. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in 2023 and recently graduated in May 2025 with her Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant degree.
Michaela currently treats a wide range of patients, working with pediatrics here at CFT and also supporting adult inpatient rehabilitation. Within Florida, she’s close to her mom, stepdad, and step-siblings, and her two older brothers live in Maine—where she’s excited to soon become an aunt!
When she’s not helping clients grow their skills and confidence, Michaela loves reading (especially historical nonfiction), crocheting, and occasionally writing creatively. A fun fact: she’s been playing the clarinet for over 11 years, and in her junior year of high school, she had the incredible opportunity to perform with professional musicians at Disney and record a medley of Disney songs!

Caitlyn Wilkerson, PT, DPT is a dedicated Physical Therapist with a strong foundation in complex care and a deep commitment to patient care.  They joined our team at CFT in December 2023 and bring a vibrant mix of energy, compassion, and clinical knowledge to the clinic.

Caitlyn was born in Houston, Texas and raised in the sunny shores of Key West, Florida. They completed their undergraduate studies at Florida State University and the University of Central Florida, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. Caitlyn then went on to receive a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UCF in 2023.

Caitlyn’s professional interests include pediatrics, adaptive equipment, complex care, and neurologic rehabilitation. During their time in school, Cait participated in the Rock Climbing Rehabilitation Special Interest Group and conducted research on Parkinson’s treatments—presenting their work at several physical therapy conferences. Most recently, their research was published in a peer-reviewed journal. You can check out her manuscript https://agmr.hapres.com/UpLoad/PdfFile/AGMR_1726.pdf.

Outside of work, Caitlyn loves all things Disney, rock climbing, skateboarding, video games, puzzles, and spending time with their beloved cat, Flute. Fun Fact: Cait’s been a vegetarian for the past six years. Family is also very important to them—their parents still live in Key West, and their brothers are in Salt Lake City and Houston. Every December, the whole family comes together in Salt Lake City to celebrate Christmas and hit the slopes for some snowboarding.
We’re so grateful to have Caitlyn on our team.
