Happy 20th Birthday to Frutchey Eye Care today! September 1, 2005 we took the plunge to open Frutchey Eye Care. It's crazy to think that it has already been 20 years. We are feeling very blessed to have all of you trust us with your eyes all these years and some of you even more. As we sit here and reflect, we feel such joy. You guys are a part of the Frutchey Eye Care Family. Our motto has always been you enter as a stranger but you leave as family. We have shared so many memories. Of course, the eyes brought us together but we have faced marriages, births and death. We have seen graduations and illnesses. We made it through COVID and renovations together and you helped us make it through Marcus' trauma. (Update soon). We thought it would be fun to go through some memories of Frutchey Eye Care so enjoy the pictures. We have been honored to have some awesome people work for us through the years. You guys are the reason we are able to survive. You trusting us not only with your eyes but your eyewear purchases. We know you have many choices out there and you continue to choose us. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! We love you all!

Today we celebrate this wonderful woman! Not only is it her birthday but today was her last day with Frutchey Eye Care! She retired today and we will miss her severely. She has been a fixture at Frutchey Eye Care for over 16 years. We have been blessed to have her as our insurance coordinator. She learned everything from scratch. Joanne enjoy your next adventures. We wish you the best! Love you always!

Today's Marcus' Birthday. He's 28. Figured today would be a great day for an update. Marcus is doing well. He is continuing to physically and mentally heal. He is figuring out his new path in life and thanks all that prayed, sent good vibes, etc.

Happy New Year to our Frutchey Eye Care Family and Friends! It's been quite a year and we are looking forward to 2025. Marcus is doing well and we definitely feel blessed. Again we want to thank you for your continuous good vibes and prayers. Wishing a Great Year and many Blessings to all!

My favorite post all year...I look forward to each year celebrating this date...September 28...TODAY I'M 26 YEARS CANCER FREE!!!
It feels so good to be able to shout this out to the world. It's hard to believe that 26 years ago I had a biopsy that would flip my world upside down. Tomorrow I would find out that I have Malignant Breast Cancer...years later they would name it Triple Negative Breast Cancer. They gave me a 50% chance to live for 5 years and now it's been 26 years. I'm grateful for each day I get to spend in this world.

This year I will have to say that this will probably be my second favorite post all year since I feel even more grateful to have Marcus with us. That phone call from the ER was even more devastating than the malignant cancer call. With the Grace of God, he is still here with us and continues daily to get better and better.

Thank you for continuing on going on this journey with me. I love each and every one of you even though we may not talk daily. You are all special to me. Day 247 Update...8 Months today...we are ready to get off this roller coaster ride. Marcus is doing well and this will be my last post. We are truly appreciative of our Village! There is no way, Mark and I would have made it on this horrific ride without your support. Marcus is truly appreciative of all prayers, good vibes and help whether financial or reaching out thriugh cards or visits. I'm trying not to cry as I type this I'm truly grateful for our Miracle and pray daily for anyone else who needs a miracle. This week I took all Marcus' medical supplies to Advent Health Global Missions what a feeling as I dropped them off. All 3 boxes knowing we will not need them again. Please say one last prayer for Marcus to find guidance and help mentally to jump back into life. His Merry Go Round stopped as the world kept going. It's rough trying to catch up. Once again thank you, Village! We love you! Goodnight, Village! I'll let you know if I ever write my book which so many have encouraged me to do.
