On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, we reached a milestone nearly 30 years in the making. For the first time in our organization’s history, Substance Abuse Services were provided to women — a long‑awaited and deeply meaningful expansion of our mission.

Eight courageous women joined us for our evidence‑based, gender‑specific Intensive Outpatient Program, marking the beginning of a new chapter in rebuilding lives, restoring connections and reclaiming hope.

This achievement is nothing short of monumental. And it would not have been possible without the unwavering support of Angels of Mercy Ministries, Inc Their partnership helped open doors that will change lives for years to come.

Here’s to progress, empowerment, and the women we are honored to serve. The journey continues.

Friday celebrated love, dedication, and support as we honored the men who graduated from the program and are beginning new lives in sobriety. We also inducted five new members into the Recovery House Hall of Fame during the ring ceremony. These honorees have demonstrated a strong commitment to sobriety and to living healthy, successful lives.

We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the success of this event, including our host sponsor, Harvest Time International; guest emcee and proud alumnus Cole Latimer; keynote speaker Rob Whitaker, Vice President of Business Operations and CFO of Seminole State College; our Board of Directors; staff; Forged Through The Fire; Angels of Mercy Ministries, Inc; photographer Gs KatzGs; G3 Church; Houses 4 Hope, Inc; Project Sanford; and our dedicated guest and Recovery House of Central FL Alumni

We are incredibly grateful to the inspiring group of men from Forged Through The Fire, a dedicated organization committed to empowering others. They organized a team event where they provided our residents with a delicious meal, shared heartfelt stories and testimonies of personal transformation, and offered a sense of fellowship and hope.

Surrounded by the support and love of our community, these men are now equipped with a better opportunity to thrive in their recovery journey. It is through initiatives like those offered by Forged Through the Fire that we see a lasting impact on the lives of individuals in our program. Their dedication not only motivates our residents but also reinforces the importance of support systems in the recovery process.

This morning, community partner Vince Loran conducted an impactful session on Emotional Intelligence and Cultivating Empathy at The Recovery House. The workshop focused on fostering self-awareness and understanding others' perspectives, crucial skills for personal growth.

Participants, who included members of our staff, were engaged throughout the session, openly sharing their personal stories and experiences, which created a safe and supportive environment. Many expressed how these shared moments led to powerful insights and connections among them.

This event not only enhanced their emotional intelligence but also strengthened the bonds among attendees, emphasizing the importance of empathy in their recovery journeys.

Thank you to our community partner, Gs Katz, for capturing these images.

Rescue Outreach Mission is grateful to be among the organizations blessed by this year’s Daniel Lewis Sock Drive. Dan faithfully led this effort for many years, and his generosity has impacted our residents in meaningful ways.

Thanks to the kindness of our neighbors, community partner Recovery House of Central Florida, Inc. , and everyone involved in continuing Dan’s legacy, we received a thoughtful donation of new socks that will help keep our guests warm and cared for this season.

We sincerely appreciate all who contributed and all who helped carry forward Dan’s heart for outreach and compassion. His impact lives on through each act of kindness shared with our Mission.
