Their group visited us for an informative tour, where they learned about the various services we offer to assist men in our community. This dedication of the Adopt a Room initiative is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 5618. This room is dedicated in honor of Fr. Ed Thompson of St. Mary Magdalen. We extend a special thank you to Michael McKee, the Executive Director of Meals on Wheels Etc Seminole County FL, for facilitating this opportunity, and to our volunteers at the Recovery House for their assistance with the work.

Today, we had the honor of hosting members of St. Mary Magdalen through the Adopt a Room program. The Knights of Columbus Council 5618 came together to dedicate a room to Monsignor Ed Thompson. During the ceremony, they shared inspiring memories and highlighted Fr. Thompson's battle with alcohol and his courageous journey to overcome this challenge. His sobriety has left a lasting legacy through the many lives he has touched.

It was an important and impactful opportunity for the council to ensure, through Fr. Thompson's journey in addiction and sobriety, that the lives transformed in the renovated room have a lasting impact for years to come.

Yesterday marked the conclusion of an exciting adventure for the Recovery House as we came together with eight outstanding non-profit organizations that are making a significant impact in the Central Florida community through their selfless services. Through the Victory Cup Initiative, we had the opportunity to share our story and showcase the efforts we've made in helping those in need.

This experience helped us grow and improve. We would like to extend our congratulations to The Penitent Thief Inc., Grace Counseling, and Salt (Service And Love Together) for being recognized as the top three finalists. Together, we will continue to make a positive impact in our communities for years to come.

We're about to go live, be sure to join us online to see the exciting events happening at today's Telethon.
