She also is a member of the Child Abuse Prevention Task Force, another county initiative for reducing instances of abuse.
Jen works in partnership with many colleges and universities to provide education and field experience to up-and-coming therapists and finds teaching to be one of her favorite aspects of her career.
Jen's main clinical focus is trauma and the effects it has on the development of children and adults. She has completed extensive adoption and foster care training with the primary focus being trauma, as well as trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy strategies. Jen is currently working toward becoming a certified trauma counselor which can take up to two years due to the rigorous amount of work and supervision required. When not working at ANP, Jen enjoys spending time with her husband, children, friends and family as well as visiting new places and trying new foods! Her favorite things include drinking coffee, petting furry animals, and superhero shows/movies.
