Dr. Bush will be at Dr. Klimenko's New York City office on September 27, 2024, to perform REMS testing. Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry (REMS) is a newer method of measuring bone health. It has been used in Europe for almost ten years and has replaced DXA as the official method of bone densitometry in Italy. REMS uses ultrasound to measure Bone Density. However, REMS can also measure Bone Quality and therefore determine bone strength and fracture risk. REMS is still very new in the United States, but its popularity is growing.
