This is the third Le Creuset stoneware item / second loaf pan to have shattered in transit 😬

First was a deep covered baker in coastal blue (my dream color) I bought second hand off eBay. Bottom was shattered in box upon arrival. I got a refund but no replacement because they aren’t making them anymore in that color and it was second hand to begin with 😭

Second item was a Marseille loaf pan, which was a “5 star” return from a brick and mortar local auction house. Picked it up and it was in shards) in a plastic grocery bag - clearly the auction house mishandled it between photographing it, storing it, and then walking it out to our car. 😭😭

So I said, fine, I’ll order from Le Creuset directly. Two of the three items arrived in great condition. The Nuit loaf pan (the second one I’ve tried to purchase) arrived like this. 😭😭😭

I’m sure Customer Service will make it right. This is just the risk you take shipping!

Nearly 20 cups of leftover pickle and dumpling soup going in my new !

I’m using 1 and 2 cup portions for the freezer. I can leave in the containers (they come with lids) or pop out into my new 2 gallon silicone bags.

No more getting sick of the same food every night and stressing about what’s going bad in the fridge. Batch cook, freeze, and grab a different cube every night.

Soup base is:

✔️ pickles
✔️ pickle juice
✔️ potatoes
✔️ carrots
✔️ water
✔️ sour cream (I made mine fresh from cashews)
✔️ flour
✔️ garlic and chive seasoning
✔️ a dash of cayenne pepper
✔️ extra protein soy milk
✔️ salt and pepper
✔️ vegan butter

Dumplings
✔️ bread flour
✔️ baking powder
✔️ salt
✔️ butter
✔️ extra protein soy milk

Topped with:
✔️ vegan mozzarella cheese
