Happy Easter everyone! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done Easter baskets for my kiddos almost 17 and 14, but the joy that I see on their and their cousins’ faces and the beauty of the what the day signifies, family and rebirth, makes it so special! We are born to Muslim parents but religion was never shoved down our throats through our immediate family so we are totally open and welcoming to all faiths and religions. The beauty is that we have amazing friends from all religions and my children have always been told to pick what feels right to them when they make their decision. The reality of the essence of Islam is that it is all encompassing of Christianity and Judaism mentioning that they both arrived from the same GOD. Unfortunately with fundamentalism this true teaching is lost.
