🎨 What we’re Making:
Our BT is creating a colorful paper plate fish, a fun and functional craft used in therapy to build essential developmental skills.
🧠 Clinical Importance:
This simple craft does more than look cute, it’s a hands-on way to strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and bilateral coordination (using both hands together). It can also support visual tracking and language development through storytelling or sequencing.
✂️ Step-by-Step: How to Make It at Home:
🧻 Materials Needed:
– 1 paper plate
– Child-safe scissors
– Glue or tape
– Markers, crayons, or paint
– Googly eyes (or draw your own)
– Scrap paper or tissue paper (for scales)
To a child, it’s a fish. To a therapist, it’s a tool. The sensory, motor, and communication input from this one craft supports developmental growth, one scale at a time. 🐠✨
