When a fellow caregiver takes the time to share what it’s like working alongside our team, it means everything. James sees what I see every single day, Lemuel and Juana showing up with their whole hearts. Liz, Ronnie, Amber, Mary Kelly, Jennifer, Emily, and Shawna going beyond what’s required because they genuinely care.

We talk a lot about “treating patients like family,” but what James describes here is the real thing. It’s Shawna calling to check in. It’s our CHHAs taking their time to do things right, a nursing team that shows up with both professionalism and kindness.

Sunday was really special.

We did a Monaco French Riviera vibe for our team celebration, the sunny weather couldn’t have been better. Samantha set up casino tables, and we had a violinist playing all afternoon.

21 years, that hit me harder than I expected when I was standing up there talking to everyone.

I started Apex because I wanted to help families going through the hardest moments of their lives. Two decades later, we’ve grown 80% in the last two years alone.

We’re still maintaining 100% five-star ratings from families. Our home health quality scores are beating every national benchmark. Our hospice team just had a Medicare survey with zero deficiencies, which anyone in this space knows is incredibly hard to achieve.

We’re delivering end-of-life care at levels three times higher than state and national averages when families need us most.

Right before Johnny and Mandi kicked off the Core Value Awards, I just wanted to say what I was feeling, thank you.
