Interested in how our products are made?
We take steam-distilled essential oils, most of which are sourced from a friend's 30-year-old sustainable and organic farm in Todos Santos, Baja California. The oils are made from herbs that would normally go to waste because they didn't make it to sale on the market, instead of throwing this biomass away, the herbs are steam distilled into powerful essential oils. I take these essential oils and apply nanotechnology to them, this transforms the oil into tiny droplets, making them dispersible in water so they stay mixed in solution and do not float to the top and separate from the solution. By utilizing nanotechnology we are able to reduce the droplets to very small sizes, 100 nanometers to be exact, (to give you an idea of how small this is, a human red blood cell is 5,000 nanometers.) What are the benefits of breaking down the droplets to this size you may ask? Well, as well as allowing us to make the oil soluble in water, it also makes the essential oils more effective against viruses, fungi, and bacteria. The droplets are smaller than these organisms, when they come into contact with these tiny droplets of essential oils it dissolves their cell walls, leading to cell death. Another reason we love to apply nanotechnology to our oils is that it allows us to make our products with minimal ingredients. Because nanotechnology basically uses high-frequency vibrations to break down the oils, there are very few other ingredients that we need to add to these products to keep them in suspension. Actually, the coolest parts of my Thyme Plus+ products are that they are made with all food-grade ingredients, it's safe enough to spray in your mouth, it has a PH of 5 which makes them safe for skin contact, I use them on my babies bottom when it's a little funky after a dirty diaper.
