While many of us take this for granted, too many people are still searching for a safe place to sleep tonight.
A safe place to rest shouldn’t be a privilege—it’s a basic human need. A bed isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity.
Let’s not forget that.

If you’d like to support our work and help provide safe places to sleep, you can make a donation.

Today’s spotlight goes to the one and only Matt Chapa — our Veterans Program Housing Navigator.
Matt is hands down one of the most amazing humans you’ll ever meet. He’s always cracking jokes (whether you’re ready or not), and every Friday he shows up as the office hero with ice cream for everyone.

And let’s talk about the office kitchen. If Matt is around, that sink will be EMPTY. Not a single dish survives his watch.

You know what they say… if you don’t have a Matt, you should probably go ahead and get yourself one.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Santa Ynez Valley Elks Lodge #2640 and Stefan Ornelaz for your incredible support of our Safe Parking Program.

Your generous donation of 22 brand-new car battery jump starters is truly impactful for our clients living in their vehicles—where a dead battery can mean being stranded and unable to access work, services, or safety. 🚗

Because of you, our participants have greater peace of mind and the tools they need to keep moving forward.

This is what community looks like—coming together to create real, lasting change.

We are deeply grateful to stand alongside partners who believe in dignity, stability, and hope for all. 💙

Sometimes the smallest gestures carry the biggest meaning. 💙

One of our incredible Case Managers received this card from a client—and it says everything. The long days, the hard conversations, the moments that go unseen… they matter. They change lives.

To our entire team: thank you for being the kind of people who make this world a little softer, a little kinder, and a lot more hopeful.

You are seen. You are appreciated. And you are making a difference every single day. 💫

He paused in the doorway, taking a deep breath—not because he didn’t have a home before, but because he knew what it meant to lose one.

Because even when you’re not coming from the streets, being displaced shakes something deep. It reminds you how fragile “home” can be.

A reminder that homelessness can touch anyone—but with the right support, there is always a way forward, and a place to land. 🍀
