Coming Home to Ourselves
After a painful heartbreak, I remember my therapist often saying, “When you are a wise old woman…” and painting a picture of the clarity I might one day hold.
At the time, it irritated me. I didn’t want to hear about becoming old. I wanted to be young, desirable, and in control. I didn’t yet understand the gift she was pointing to: wisdom earned through experience.
Now, years later, I do.
And I thank her.
There’s something liberating that happens when we stop living for approval and start honoring our inner truth. We begin shedding expectations and stepping into deeper self-respect. As one therapist wisely said: “I let go of the need to correct people’s impression of me.” That, to me, is freedom.
Coming home to ourselves means living with authenticity. It means being loving without abandoning ourselves. It means embracing our age not as a limitation, but as an ally.
Menopause, in my view, is not a phase to endure quietly: it’s a powerful rite of passage. A chance to reclaim our radiance, voice, and purpose.
If you're at that crossroads, I invite you to reflect:
What does your ideal life look like?
Not the life others expect - but the one that speaks to your soul.
Maybe it starts with a vision board.
Maybe it starts with a conversation.
Maybe it starts by asking for the right kind of support.
This is the work I’m honored to do: guiding women back to themselves.
✨ Find your voice.
✨ Reclaim your radiance.
✨ Come home to the woman you’ve always been becoming.
With passion and compassion,
Petra
