Good morning,

Pastor Edgar Mohorko has gone to reunite with his lord. His family shared through a post that he left in good spirits and strong faith.

I will always be grateful for his time at Sarah House.
The many times he came to sing to one of our residents, or when he dressed up as Santa Claus and brought holiday cheer to all!

Most importantly the many times he blessed our staff as we began a new year, and the blessing of each room here at Sarah House.

Your sun has set for you on this realm, but the many blessing you gave, continue to shine bright.
We will miss you.

Today our Sarah House family lost an irreplaceable team member, Carlos.

This is a letter to our friend Carlos,

So we could make you feel all the love you planted in this lifetime.

Joy, community, friendship, genuine care to those you served.
Your absence hurts.
May God receive you with all the love he has for his children .

Over the course of a year, Laguna Blanca’s high school students have met with residents, staff, and volunteered at Sarah House to conceive, create, and produce an original work of theater to bring awareness to the work and experience of end of life care for those in need in our community. A

For over a year, Laguna Blanca’s theater instructor Dana Caldwell, Sarah House manager Paloma Espino and theater advisor Peter Lackner have been collaborating on a project involving high school students volunteering at SH to spend time with residents and staff and then share share the experiences through an original theater piece.

Alpha has been working at Sarah House since 2018.
He Learned how to be a Hospice worker at Sarah House and since then he has visited over 200 people.

He welcomes everyone in and walks each person out on their final walk.
Alpha is a dedicated boy who loves what he does and loves the people at Sarah House.

This week in our home, a woman born on February 14th took her final breath.
At 104 years old, she took her last breath on this earth. Travel safe Esperanza, you are one for the books!💕
