What about yourself do you actually like?

This is a tough question for a most folks on trauma recovery to answer.

Because the immediate reaction is “ew what do you mean?”

But once that constant survival mode starts to fade, there is often a liminal space that appears.

It is confusing to not be in constant survival, but still not feel like you can celebrate who you are.

There’s that voice that says, “but when is the other shoe going to drop?”

This is where consistent somatic support in a space that celebrates your identity is crucial.

Your nervous system will struggle to heal if you are questioning whether your therapist or coach actually celebrates your identity.

It will be hard to embody the things about yourself that you actually like, if you’re questioning if the people in front of you like those things too.

This is why I created Recovering Connection.

The somatic group space for q***r and neurodivergent folks who are ready to explore what it means to thrive after trauma.

You will be supported by me, a values-aligned community, my connection curriculum, and somatic methodology to start to walk through the world in the way that feels authentic to you.

I am always thinking about how I can center the insights of the folks I’m working with.

Sure, I have a lot of insights that can help to reframe or provide more context to your experience.

I have in depth somatic training, attachment theory, my EDE methodology. So many frameworks.

AND the biggest agent of change in the space is building YOUR self-trust.

Centering your ability to listen to and follow your intuition will be the thing that ensures you don’t need therapy or coaching forever.

And that is my goal, and that is how I have intentionally structured Recovering Connection.

You will always get the chance to explore your own insights and intuition around your experience, before learning a bunch of new information from me (or the other teachers).

I find this is the thing that gives the most “AHA” moments for folks. It allows the transformation to be guided by you, so that you have lasting results.

Recovering Connection is a 6 month somatic group program for q***r and neurodivergent folks who are coming out of constant survival and ready to explore what it means to thrive on the other side of trauma.

This space will have frameworks to help you rewrite the stories that aren’t serving you anymore, and the flexibility for your unique identity, nervous system, and brain to get individualized support.

A space where your identity is not just affirmed, but celebrated!

Here’s what it means ⬇️

This is a literal sign from your mind and body about what you need to emotionally process.

If you are experiencing a stress response as fantasy because you are masking, the best thing you can do is get to a space where you don’t have to mask.

That could be alone or with a trusted person. That could be in nature. With a therapist or coach. This part is dependent on your brain, nervous system, and identity.

When you are in a space to take the mask off, what you need to emotionally process will become so clear.

This is exactly what we are doing in Recovering Connection.

A 6 month somatic group program for q***r and neurodivergent folks who are coming out of constant survival and ready to explore what it means to thrive on the other side of trauma.

This space will have frameworks to help you rewrite the stories that aren’t serving you anymore, and the flexibility for your unique identity, nervous system, and brain to get individualized support.

At some point, trauma recovery has to happen in community, because we don’t heal in isolation.

We heal in community. We heal in relationships where we can practice skills.

This is why I created a longer, community oriented offering so that q***r and neurodivergent folks can have a consistent space that creates lasting results.

A space where your identity is not just affirmed, but celebrated!

There is a big difference between curiosity and these questions.

Now, I don’t think the people who asked these were trying to be condescending or rude.

At the same time, they had a lack of awareness around how they come off, and that is still that persons responsibility.

Both are true at the same time.

This is why it is so important for q***r and neurodivergent folks to be in community spaces with other q***r and neurodivergent folks.

We feel a whole lot less like an alien, and a lot more seen and understood.

Because the understanding is built into that space. The curiosity that is affirming is built into the language that is used, because the awareness is already there.

There is way less work on your part to educate people about your identity.

That doesn’t mean we are in community with ONLY people like us, and it’s extremely important to heal and grow in those spaces.

Both are true at the same time.

That is why I am so commited to helping q***r and neurodivergent folks heal the ways they connect with self, others, and the earth.

Because that is what creates sustainable change in feeling like you are thriving in your life after trauma, rather than surviving.

During my live event Finding Connection, I’ll be giving you tangible tools, frameworks, and real conversation about how to do this.

This event is for q***r and neurodivergent folks (or anyone who moves through the world differently than most) who are ready for tools, frameworks, and real conversation about what it looks like to build a life that actually feels like its actually yours.

Here’s what you need to join:

I really believe that solid, nourishing community is the only thing that could take my job as a therapist.

That’s why my mission this year is to build more community spaces in my work.

Because the 1-1 is beautiful, and all the healing can’t be done in individual work..

We heal in community. 💞
