Join me for The Santa Barbara IANDS Monthly Meeting: "Dreams as a Window to Spiritual Transformation"
Wed, Oct 9th
7:00-9:00pm
Unity of Santa Barbara
227 E. Arrellaga St. , SB
IANDS has long shared how near-death experiences (NDEs) result in widened perspectives and changed lives. They have also recognized other intangible phenomena that, when experienced, open a window to greater knowingness and expanded perception. These additional phenomena are broadly termed spiritually transformative experiences (STEs). Dreams as one form of STE are often viewed as illusory wanderings of the mind, but some dreams, when understood, reveal meaning that can similarly change a person’s life. Maryann and Paul Sperry will provide examples of vivid dream experiences that have healed relationships following the death of a loved one or have resulted in an expanded perception of themselves that empowered a richer life.
ABOUT MARYANN SPERRY
Maryann Sperry is an IANDS Board Member and Conference Chair for the recently completed international conference. She couples a unique blend of determination and independence with team spirit and passion to help others. She founded a successful graphic design company that for 20 years supported a growing clientele of conference directors, coaches, speakers, and authors. She completed separate bachelor degrees in education and business, then added web design, social media and graphic design to her repertoire of advanced skills. Maryann was co-director of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM), and co-produced events for the Boulder Chapter of the Society for Scientific Exploration (SSE).
ABOUT PAUL SPERRY
Paul is an interdisciplinary scientist with a passion for recognizing universal patterns between various disciplines and schools of thought. He understands that science, like religion, builds upon truths established over time, yet realizes both avenues risk missing revelations when they rigidly defend their foundations as sacrosanct. He is thus willing to consider all possibilities and follow where grounded discernment leads. Paul’s traditional training includes degrees in chemistry and systems science. His professional career began with the National Center for Atmospheric Research where he conducted worldwide research on acid rain, Arctic haze, stratospheric ozone, pollutant photochemistry and eventually became Associate Director of their Atmospheric Chemistry Division. He then moved to become Executive Director of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, an institute of over 500 at the University of Colorado. Paul retired to investigate Earth energy phenomena at remote sites around the world. He and Maryann currently live near the base of the Rockies in Longmont, CO.
