Your hips play a bigger role than most people realize. When they’re weak, tight, or not moving well, it can affect how your pelvic floor supports your bladder.

Enjoy this hip focused flow! The idea behind this sequence is that you can make it your own and spend more or less time in each posture. Connective tissue and fascia releases with time to unwind. Listen to your body and maybe you spend different amounts of time on each side. Finding balance in your body is going to be a unique experience. Use your breath and be intentional with each movement. Slow and controlled with expansion of your ribcage off your pelvis. Reconnect with your hips, they are holding so much and want to release the tension and stagnant energy.

The goal isn’t to bend forward — it’s to push your hips back while keeping your spine neutral.

A few things to focus on:
• soft bend in the knees
• hips drive back, not down
• ribs stacked over hips
• feel tension in the hamstrings, not your low back

Dial this in and it carries over to deadlifts, squats, and everyday movement.
