Today, the New Moon arrives in the sign of Pisces.
We are reaching the very end of the zodiac cycle. In just a few days, the Equinox will arrive, bringing the shift into a new season. We are surrounded by symbols of ending. Of completed experiences, old habits, and outdated ways of looking at ourselves.
Yet, in this same moment, there is a profound opening for new beginnings.
Pisces is the element of Water, and in the body, it connects deeply to the feet. How appropriate for this time of transition. Our feet carry us through the world; they are our point of contact with the path. They know the rhythm of the journey better than our minds sometimes.
In my own journey, moving from my California loft to the big, cold city of Chicago, I’ve found that even the simplest things are different. It requires a new kind of presence. Learning how to stay warm before even leaving the house. Being close to my daughter, Becks, has shifted our connection from planned long weekends to the sweet, spontaneous rhythm of shorter moments together. Even building this community to meditate together has been an arrival into a new way of thinking. Being kind and patient with myself is a daily practice!
Today, in the Lunar Nidra I invite you to check in with your own movement:
Where are you finally ready to walk away from? What stories, hurts, or versions of yourself have finished their purpose?
What are you ready to walk towards? Where is the momentum of love pulling your steps?
This Lunar Nidra is a practice of softening, of floating in warm, carrying waters, a space where you can be present with your endings, and gently open to what is ready to begin. Enjoy your sacred pause!
