A group from PSI and I joined a great group of advocates at the California Capitol this past Tuesday. We came together to educate legislators and identify champions for the So EveryBODY Can Move initiative.
The stories shared were powerful. For many families, accessing a prosthesis for basic health and safety, let alone sport or recreation, is far more difficult than it should be.
We talked of everyday moments: like taking a shower, particularly when traveling. What if the bathroom isn’t accessible? Even for the most capable individuals, these situations are unsafe, exhausting, and a little dicey.
12 States have passed legislation so far, many more are in the process now. Let’s get California on the map by the 2028 Paralympics in LA!
