🍪 Cookie Surprise for Our Community Heroes! 🍪

This week, we stopped by Dishdash and Lazy Dog Restaurants with a sweet surprise — freshly baked cookies from our incredible DIS provider, Alma Rodgers! 💛

These two amazing restaurants are true lifesavers. Whenever a Dinner is Served provider cancels or something unexpected comes up, we know we can count on them to step in without hesitation. Because of their generosity, our guests are never left without a warm, comforting meal.

They are more than partners — they are part of our JW House family, and we are endlessly grateful for their heart and reliability. This small gesture of cookies is just a token of the deep appreciation we have for everything they do.

💛 A Full Circle Moment at JW House 💛

Earlier this week, Sonam and O.K., along with their sweet son Ivaan, stopped by JW House to drop off some snacks for our families. 🍎

This visit was especially meaningful — Ivaan spent two months in the NICU, and during that difficult time, his family used our services to find rest and support. Seeing them return, healthy and smiling, was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

We’re so happy to share that baby Ivaan and his amazing parents are doing well — and we’re beyond grateful for their generosity and thoughtfulness. 💙

🥗 A Delicious Surprise from Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar ! 💛

On June 8th, our friends at Lazy Dog Restaurant (Cupertino) treated JW House to a feast while testing out their new catering menu — and we were more than happy to help! 😋

They brought an incredible spread including:
🔥 Blackened Chicken
🍋 Greek Chicken
🥗 Cobb Salad
🌮 Mexican Rice
🥑 Guacamole
🥣 Hummus
…and so much more!

This all started thanks to LeAnne, one of our amazing Tuesday volunteers, who happened to have lunch at Lazy Dog and shared our mission with the GM — and the rest is history. 🥰

Lazy Dog has continued to show up for JW House in big ways — especially when a last-minute Dinner is Served provider has to cancel. They’re always just a call away, and we’re so grateful for their generosity, kindness, and delicious support.

🎉 A Special Visit from Santa Clara Parade of Champions ! 🎉

Last Tuesday, we were honored to welcome Ana Vargas and the Board of Directors from the Santa Clara Parade of Champions to JW House — and even more honored to receive a generous check in support of our mission! 💛

JW House has proudly supported the Parade for the past few years, and it truly is a celebration of community, connection, and local spirit. This visit was especially meaningful, as Ana Vargas has been a longtime supporter of JW House since she stayed with us in 2019 while her father was in the hospital. 💐

Last Thursday, our families were treated to a truly delicious and thoughtful meal, all thanks to the amazing team at Google Design! 💛

Their generous spread included:
🥗 Greek Salad
🍇 Mixed Fruit
🍢 Chicken Kabobs
🍗 Roast Rosemary Chicken
🌮 Veggie Tacos
🥔 Potato Wedges
🍞 Dinner Rolls

From the vibrant flavors to the warm hospitality, everything was absolutely amazing. Our guests felt so cared for — and left with full hearts and full plates. 💕

🍽️ Dinner is Served – A Full Circle Moment with the Tran Family 💛

On Sunday, June 22, Christine Chang and her family returned to JW House—not just as guests, but as givers. They cooked an absolute feast for the families currently staying with us, and every dish was made with love, flavor, and care. 💫

Their beautiful meal included:
🥗 Seasonal Garden Salad
🍜 Veggie Noodle Stir-Fry
🍚 Chicken Fried Rice
🥩 Grilled Tri-Tip Steak
🍢 Persian Saffron Chicken Kabobs
🥧 Orchard Pie for dessert!

Guests were full of joy, gratitude, and second helpings! It was truly heartwarming to see this family—whose story we shared at Celebration of Hope—now giving back so generously. 💛

The Tran family has shown us the power of community, healing, and coming full circle. We are endlessly thankful for their support, their spirit, and their hearts.

JW House

JW House keeps families together during medical crisis by offering a welcoming home close to the hospital and providing a caring and compassionate environment that inspires hope.

Located on the campus of Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center, JW House welcomes families and individuals from area hospitals into our family for rest and self-care during the day or overnight while their loved one is in the hospital.

No family should be separated when they need each other the most.
