🥞 Record-Breaking News! 🥞

This past Sunday, December 7th, the JW House Student Board hosted their annual Pancake Breakfast—and together, they raised over $13,500 for JW House! 🎉

This is the most we’ve ever raised in the history of this event, and it’s all thanks to the dedication, passion, and hard work of our amazing Student Board members. These students continue to inspire us with their commitment to supporting families facing medical crises, and we couldn’t be prouder.

We’re also deeply grateful for the unwavering support from Student Board parents, our Board of Directors, and the JW House staff. A special shoutout to the board members who put on their aprons and volunteered in the kitchen 👩‍

To everyone who cooked, served, donated, or attended — thank you. Your generosity ensures that families going through life’s hardest moments can always find comfort, support, and community at JW House.

🌟 Small Hands, Big Hearts! 🌟

All the kindergarten classes at Manuel De Vargas Elementary School came together in the sweetest way — by collecting their spare change to support families at JW House. 💙

After reaching out to see how their students could make a difference, Miss Christine Roberts and her three kindergarten classes jumped into action… and their kindness truly shined.

Thanks to their incredible effort, these amazing students raised over $850 for JW House! 🥹

Their generosity will help provide comfort, meals, and relief to families navigating medical crises.

🌟 A Sweet Surprise for JW House! 🌟

We are so excited to share that Naho, a finalist on Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship: Season 11, donated beautifully crafted cupcakes for our families this Thanksgiving! 🧁

Naho runs her own small business, Miley Baking, where she regularly donates her baked goods to children in need, local nonprofits, and organizations making a difference in the community. Her generosity and talent brought so much joy to our families during the holiday — a true gift during a challenging time for many of them. 💙

We’re incredibly grateful for her kindness, creativity, and commitment to giving back. ✨

On December 3rd, Dr. Chou and a dedicated team of volunteers transformed our Meditation Garden into a beautiful holiday haven for our families. 🌟

A huge thank-you to Dr. Chou, Lisa, Ericka, LeAnne, and Kathi for donating their time, care, and energy to bring this seasonal joy to JW House. Your generosity helps create moments of peace and comfort for the families staying with us. ❤️

And here’s a little throwback to last year, when Dr. Alan Wong, JW’s longtime doctor and friend, joined us to decorate the garden. We are incredibly grateful for the continued love and support from our extended JW House family.

✨ Thanksgiving at JW House ✨

Last week, our kitchen was filled with warmth, gratitude, and the delicious aromas of a true home-cooked Thanksgiving meal. 🧡

A HUGE thank you to Kristen, our Fund Development Director, and Anastaciia who lovingly cooked two turkeys for our families staying with us.

Dinner was complete with every comforting classic — sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberries, rolls, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, bundt cake, and the crowd-favorite “Moana’s” Jiffy Cornbread Casserole. 🥧

And of course, none of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers and supporters who donated ingredients, cooked dishes, set the table, and helped make Thanksgiving feel a little more like home for families facing medical crises.

From all of us at JW House, thank you for helping us bring comfort, warmth, and togetherness to families when they need it most. We couldn’t do this without you. 🏡

🌟 HENNESSEY FAMILY UPDATE 🌟

Today, we’re celebrating an incredible milestone with the Hennessy family. 💛

After 162 days away from home, Sarah was officially discharged this week—having reached all of her treatment goals, including weight restoration and full meal completion. She even slept in her own bed for the first time since Father’s Day. 🏡

Sarah will continue her journey with outpatient care, and we are so proud of her strength, resilience, and the hard work that led her here. Her progress is nothing short of inspiring. 💪
