Why We’re Passionate About Helping You Improve Your Hearing = Your Life
It was a simple decision but it changed the entire course of Nola Aronson’s career. She has accomplished her life- long dream of being able to help people lead better social lives with better communication through improving their hearing.
She was a special education teacher, and in 1978 she decided to get her master’s degree in speech pathology, so she went to Cal State Long Beach. She took a pediatric audiology class to enhance her understanding of the students whom she would be working with. But she did not realize how that class would change the trajectory of her life. She saw how she could solve people’s problems right away so she decided this was what she wanted to do. This began her 39-year career as an audiologist.
Advanced Audiology donates 10% of our hearing aid proceeds to a different nonprofit every single month, Some of the nonprofits are the Circle of Hope, The Boys and Girls Club, Michael Hoefflin Foundation, and the Senior Center. Since Nola’s dream is to help as many people as possible she tells everyone, “When you buy a hearing aid from me, you not only hear better but you are also giving back to your community”.
We take my most pride in our patient’s success stories. For example, a wife thanked us for helping her husband, saying she felt like she was on her honeymoon again.
Another story involves a mother who was in a severe depression and couldn’t leave her house when previously she was very active. We helped her with that! Her doctor was ready to diagnose her with dementia when we resolved her hearing issue. Now she can go to her bible study group again and even got a volunteer position in a non-profit organization! There are so many ways we can help. It’s not just about hearing...it’s about an enhancement in your lifestyle!
