How are you doing with your New Year’s resolution?
I want to share something deeply personal…🥹
There was a season in my life when, on the outside, I looked “fine” but on the inside, my body was struggling 😔
👉 My blood pressure stayed in the 150–160s, even while taking 2 BP medications, twice a day.
👉 My triglycerides were high, despite cutting back on foods.
👉 I was prediabetic and I’m really not fond of eating sweets
👉 And no matter how hard I tried, losing weight felt nearly impossible.
👩⚕️ As a nurse, that reality was scary.
👩 As a woman, it was frustrating.
👩⚕️ And as someone who helps others heal, it was humbling.
I knew something deeper was going on — and I knew I had to address the root, not just the symptoms.
So I committed.
Not to extremes.
Not to punishment.
But to consistency, education, and giving my body what it actually needed.
And slowly… things changed 🔥
📉 Weight: 130 lbs → 112 lbs (–18 lbs)
💉 A1C: 5.7 → 5.5 (no longer prediabetic)
❤️ Triglycerides: 150 → 102
🩺 Blood Pressure: 150–160 / 90–100 → 110–120 / 70–80
⚡ More Energy and mental clarity
But the biggest transformation?
✨ I feel hopeful again. I feel alive again. I feel in control again.
This journey reminded me that healing is possible — even when numbers feel discouraging, even when you’ve “tried everything,” even when your body feels stuck.
