Kreig Sanchez, LM T, CAMTC. No two sessions are alike. A little more background.

Graduated from Hands On Healing Institute in Tujunga, CMT certified in 2004, licensed in 2009, and state licensed in 2011. Through my own journey towards a pain free life I have over 30+ years of hands-on massage experience. Using multiple modalities in a session, primarily Myofascial Release of Trigger Points, adding Acupressure, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, and other modalities as needed, I personalize each session with your input to relieve the trigger-points in the areas of your fascial muscle restrictions, injury and tensions. Many of my clients made the statement after their session, “you have a healing touch”, so the name stuck. Officially opened my business, Massage With A Healing Touch in 2010. A corporate company takeover and mass layoff forced me to move my side business to the front and make it my main business, which gratefully is doing very well. Raised in a family that was very much into health, sports, and anatomy. Life had a few speed bumps for me as my body has suffered from many a sports injury, pulled this, torn or twisted that, a major auto accident, minor ones, and a few work injuries. Realized I had an affinity for massage in Junior High and started studying the craft. My goal back in my youth was to become a paramedic/firefighter, and I was for a while in the early to mid 90’s. I mention all this not for sympathy or to boast, more to convey that I have years of personal knowledge and experience working on these and other types of injuries and the long term affects they have on a body, and what these restrictions feel like. I have been working on my own muscle traumas for years and can claim almost full recovery and range of motion from my injuries. My continued studies in many modalities and the work on myself and others, has gained me the experience and added ability to know what these injuries feel like as they are being worked on and what it takes to undo the long term restrictions first hand. The type of work I do is considered Clinical Massage Therapy. This is defined as:
Clinical massage, or medical massage, is a form of therapy that is usually not performed in a spa setting, though many spa’s do offer deep tissue and lymphatic drainage. Normally, medical massage is done in a clinic and is for rehabilitation from some form of injury. In most cases, a doctor writes a prescription with a treatment plan. Clinical massage involves addressing the deeper muscles of the body versus a relaxation massage being performed with a very light touch on the surface of the skin. The therapist has extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology and addresses the range of motion limitations by using a variety of modalities. Heat may be applied along with cold packs or hydrotherapy to relax the muscles and make them more responsive to the work. You may or may not have heard of Trigger-points

Technical explanation, courtesy of the Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Clair Davies, and Janet Travell: A trigger point is described as- “a highly irritable localized spot of exquisite tenderness in a nodule in a palpable taut band of muscle tissue”. Dr. Travell discovered in 1957 that trigger points generate and receive tiny electrical currents, and that the activity of a trigger point could be quantified by measuring these tiny signals with Electromyographic instruments. For more info read more at.http://books.google.com/books?id=IYqqY5Ae_VoC&printsec=frontcover =onepage&q&f=false

All that technical talk summed up is that Trigger-points are basically stuck electric signals in a string of fascia in a muscle, which can be very painful. The sensitivity I’ve developed over the past 28+ years has allowed my hands the ability to feel these trigger-points and connect them, causing the trigger points to discharge. The methods I use helps to release their trapped energy.

It is ironic and bittersweet that this article recognizing the importance of the interstitium, reveals its ignorance of any research already published about that very soft tissue. By describing it as “previously unrecognized,” this demonstrates…

So true.

FIX YOUR MECHANICS TO UPGRADE YOUR SOFTWARE/HARDWARE

Picture yourself standing on top a chair 🪑 Let’s call that chair your body (software/hardware). Standing on a chair with sturdy legs, you will most likely feel at ease 🙂 and comfortable 😄 knowing you’re fully supported.

Now, picture yourself standing on a chair with flimsy wobbly legs. Standing on a chair with wobbly legs will have you feeling insecure 🫣 and anxious 😬 about whether that chair will hold you up at all.

When you take the time to fix your biomechanics or in this case the
wobbly legs of the chair you stand on you ensure that you are standing on a chair with supportive legs that will leave you feeling secure and comfortable enough to focus on other tasks rather than on worrying, “Will this chair hold me 😵‍💫!”

If you want to upgrade your mental state 🧠 (software) then start fixing your biomechanics 🏃🏻‍♀️. Once you address your biomechanics and in turn your software you can now feel stable and secure enough to begin working out intentionally not habitually to upgrade your body or hardware 💪.
