We are so proud to celebrate Kris Huber and her nomination for Zonta’s Women Who Serve recognition. 🌟

Kris has been a dedicated supporter of Child & Family Center for many years, and since joining our Board of Directors in 2022, she has continued to lead with compassion, generosity, and heart. 💛 From volunteering at Family Fun Nights and helping children with crafts, to organizing holiday gifts for families and supporting events that uplift domestic violence survivors, Kris always shows up for the children, parents, and caregivers we serve. 🤝

It’s World Teen Mental Wellness Day 💙… and it’s time to change the narrative!

Being a teen today isn’t easy. Behind the smiles and social feeds, many young people are quietly carrying anxiety, depression, stress, and self-doubt. No one should have to face that alone.

At Child & Family Center, we provide expert care, trusted guidance, and a safe, supportive space where teens can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Our teen mental health services are available for families with Medi-Cal, because access to care should never be a barrier to getting help.

💜 Wrapping Up Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month 💜

As we close out Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, our Prevention Team is proud to reflect on powerful collaborations with Arroyo Seco Junior High School and Golden Valley High School.

Through Valentine’s-themed Lunch & Learn events, students engaged in meaningful conversations about healthy relationships, personal safety, and making informed choices.
Interactive refusal skills activities and a “heart” safety exercise encouraged students to think critically about peer pressure, substance use, and recognizing situations that may not be safe.

These discussions created space for honesty, learning, and empowerment! Together, we continue building safer school communities by promoting respect, awareness, and healthy decision-making every day. 💜
