Yesterday, Felicia Skaggs, our Domestic Violence Services Program Director, and Destiny McCune, our Marketing & Community Outreach Program Manager, attended “Cocktails & Conversation with Captain Brandon Barclay".

Child & Family Center is incredibly grateful for our ongoing partnership with Captain Barclay and the support we receive from local law enforcement in serving survivors of domestic violence and strengthening families in our community. Opportunities to connect and collaborate like this are invaluable to our mission.

A special thank-you to the Valley Industry Association (VIA) for hosting such a meaningful event and continually creating spaces where community organizations and leaders can come together.

Big thanks to everyone at College of the Canyons who stopped by our tabling event and joined us for "Let’s Be Blunt", our second substance-use prevention workshop on the COC campus!

Child & Family Center's CORE Outreach & Prevention team is excited to now be on the COC campus collaborating with the Wellness Center to bring resources, conversations, and support directly to the students.

Alongside our team, students explored how to make safer, informed decisions in social settings.

In observance of Thanksgiving, Child & Family Center will be closed on November 27th & 28th 🦃.

However, our commitment to serving our community remains unwavering. Our 24/7 Domestic Violence Hotline ☎️ and Emergency Shelter 🏠 will continue to provide vital support and services to those in need. If you require assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 661-259-4357.

For mental health support, the National Su***de and Crisis Hotline at 988 is available around the clock. The 988 Lifeline offers free, confidential assistance for individuals in distress, with services provided in both English and Spanish.

This season, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community and the families we are honored to serve. We wish you a safe and meaningful Thanksgiving. 🧡

Our team is coming together to bring smiles to children, teens, and families through Child & Family Center’s Adopt-a-Family program and Teen Gift Card Drive.

🎁 Adopt-a-Family sign-up deadline: December 5
🎁 Gift drop-off dates: December 8–11 | 9 AM–4 PM

Every donated toy, book, and gift card delivers hope, comfort, and holiday magic to families who need it most. You can also support local teens by donating $25 Target or Walmart gift cards to help make their season a little brighter.
