Thank you Rep. George Whitesides for touring our Santa Clarita campus and meeting with our President & CEO, Nikki Buckstead. We appreciate the opportunity to share the vital work we're doing, providing behavioral health services, domestic violence support, and more to families in need.

Our 30-Day Emergency Domestic Violence Shelter is the only one of its kind in the Santa Clarita Valley! With potential funding shortfalls looming due to federal budget decisions, support and advocacy are more important than ever.

School's out, the sun is shining, and it’s the perfect time to make memories, play outside, and slow down a little. At Child & Family Center, we’re welcoming the first day of summer with joy and a reminder to care for children's mental and emotional well-being during the break.

Here are 3 simple tips for caregivers to support children’s mental health this summer:

Keep a Routine: While it doesn’t need to be strict, a consistent daily rhythm helps kids feel secure and grounded.

Stay Active Together: Outdoor play, nature walks, and family activities help boost mood and reduce stress.

Talk About Feelings: Make space for open conversations.

Child & Family Center is looking for a passionate, dynamic educator to join our team and lead prevention efforts with youth and community groups on issues related to gender-based violence and healthy relationships.
