We are thrilled to invite you to join us, Vital Cycles - Anne and Lydia- as co-facilitators with dear friends and mentors Hazel Ward, Karen Taylor and Melanie Mindlin of Siskiyou Permaculture for their Social Forestry course near Appplegate, OR February 10-15, 2024.

We were part of the February 2020 Cohort with a host of amazing humans! See pictures below! It was life changing! We haven't walked the same way through a forest since!

We will be participating in hands on underburning, making biochar, forest management, coppicing, basketry, and more! Activities will be based on our collective interests and weather conditions.

"The course supports our vision of a cottagers’ co-op, stewardship contracts with ecological covenants, semi-nomadic seasonal work patterns and cultural support for a new/old way of being in relationship with our forests and landscapes. We believe that only through building new relationships now can we look forward to a more appropriate and sustainable culture of cities, farms and forests that inspires us all and especially the children to look forward to a future that makes sense and promises a good and glorious life many generations hence."
