From Resistance to Connection: A Well-Being Success Story
Some stories remind us why it matters to show up. Here’s one shared by our Well-Being Program Coordinator:
“When I first started visiting nearly three years ago, Beatrice was closed off, often rejected companionship, and sometimes told me to leave. She spent most of her time alone, not engaging in activities or with others.
Through patience, consistency, and validation of her feelings over several months, she gradually began to trust me. She started joining group activities at the senior living community, eating in the common area, and engaging socially with others. Staff have remarked on the dramatic difference in her personality. Today, she has an extended group of friends and is known for her kindness and friendliness.”

Stories like Beatrice’s illustrate the real impact of the Lifespan Well-Being program: helping older adults build connections and live fully engaged lives.
