I am so honored to announce that I have been awarded a grant from Birth Future Foundation Watering the Seeds: Midwifery Care and Capacity Building Grant!

I am excited to use to use this grant to further my midwifery career and education to better serve my community!

We're thrilled to offer a new clinic in Truth or Consequences, twice a month, starting this Wednesday!

The Vida midwives and student midwives will be providing prenatal, postpartum, and well baby care (up to 6 weeks of age) at the Sierra County Public Health Office. Lab draws/collections, newborn hearing screens, and newborn metabolic screens available.

You don't have to have birthed with us or be planning to birth with us, but you're welcome to sign up for due months with availability 💚 Records will be provided.

Thank you to the NM Department of Health and Sierra County Public Health Office for your support in this endeavor! It's been over a year in the making, and we're so excited to begin.

We know that vocalization in labor and birth can be beneficial. Deep moans vs high pitched. When we relax and loosen the voice we relax and loosen our pelvic floor. Try it.

So excited to be completing my licensure in the next few weeks and joining Three Suns Birth as a Licensed Midwife!🤍

Student Midwife Julianne Martinez is anticipating the completion of her licensure requirements over the next few weeks! With that exciting news, she has also accepted the invitation to remain with Three Suns Birth as part of the care team.
This growth will mean Southeastern NM will welcome a second Medicaid-accepting licensed midwife to provide care to more families.

Congratulations Midwife Kate!❤️

I have officially had the privilege of being welcomed to 100 births. In the homebirth setting, that translates to an average of 800 hours of total labor support provided.

It’s a milestone I was excited to reach.

Thank you to everyone who has entrusted me with their care ❤️
This is just the beginning of what I hope is a long, fulfilling career.

Welcome, baby girl!
This mom had a private childbirth class with Midwife Kate for her last pregnancy a couple of years ago, and decided to have a homebirth this time around.

This baby girl was born at home and caught by Student Midwife Julianne Martinez.

Congratulations to the family!

And congratulations to Student Midwife Julie, she has only 8 more births to go before she qualifies to take her licensing exams!
