A WEEK IN THE LIFE. A WEEK IN THE LIFE. LIVING SWEETLY.

A British pub and a woman who knows how to have fun.

- A golden pup getting all the love from gentle hands.

- Leaning over a sleeping baby in a stroller, because every generation matters.

- Mardi Gras masks and the spirit to wear them proudly.

- A selfie that says everything about what this work really is.

Every week looks different. Every week is full.

A 2026 study confirmed what we already knew. Going outside with a companion reduces loneliness and improves quality of life in older adults. It also improved sleep.

This is why our caregivers take their clients outside every chance they get. That is not an accident. That is care.

Living sweetly. 🌿

Before her 8am arrival, Premika left this on her client's whiteboard.

No one asked her to. No one needed to. That is just the kind of caregiver she is.

At Biscochito, we talk a lot about care as a relationship. This is what that actually looks like in practice. A whiteboard. A nickname. A good morning that is waiting for you when you wake up.

Living sweetly.

Meet Chester.

He spent 36 years at IBM, sailed 237,000 nautical miles, lived in Tripoli as a kid, and did 100-mile bike rides despite having polio. He has called Niwot, Colorado home for 44 years. He still goes for walks every morning. He still has breakfast in town. He still notices everything.

We sat down with Chester for Older Americans Month to talk about his life, his loves, and what living well means to him. What he shared stayed with us.

When we asked him the best decision he ever made, he did not hesitate...
"To marry Trish."

Musical memory is one of the last things Alzheimer's takes. 🎶

A new international study from researchers at University of Toronto, University of Edinburgh & Simon Fraser University outlines 6 research-backed ways music improves dementia care — from rewiring brain networks to fighting social isolation.
The big takeaway? Music isn't just therapy. It's a human right.

“What’s in it for you?” This is the buzz on our group office chat today! Caregivers are sharing Kimberly’s article in validation of the work we are doing together.

Usually our chat is a place we can ask for support and look for upcoming events but today we all take a moment to ponder the significance of being part of a team and working towards something that is greater than monetary value.

Caregiving is complex work. It requires technical skill, emotional regulation, patience, adaptability, trust and presence.

Music has a remarkable way of staying with us.

Recent studies continue to show that music can support memory, reduce anxiety, improve mood, and strengthen emotional connection as we age... including for people living with dementia.

Even when other forms of communication become difficult, rhythm and song often remain.

A butterfly landed on Anne.

That is the whole story. That is also everything.

Her caregiver took her to the Butterfly Pavilion this week and somewhere between the tropical plants and the flutter of wings, one found her.

Anne was having a blast before that even happened.

This is what showing up looks like. This is what aging in place actually means.

When the Bee Gees come on, you don't sit that out.

Her caregiver showed up for a visit and ended up on the dance floor. Lauren took a little dance break too, and then they were back at it.

This is what a Tuesday looks like at Biscochito. This is what aging in place actually means.

Our client Anne loves nature. So that's where they went.

When the wind picked up on the trail, she didn't flinch. She laughed. Her caregiver grabbed her hand and said, "We better hang on to each other before we get blown away!"

Anne got a kick out of that.

That's the thing about real care. It finds joy in the unexpected.
