Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Fellow Santa Feans,
I am about 2/3 of the way through my cranial sacral training at the Colorado School of Energy Studies with Anna & Liz Chitty. When I started the training, I didn't really grasp what would be required to cross the finish line. Finding myself just past the middle, I am reaching for a second wind, energetically and financially. A year and a half in, with 5 modules to go, I have found myself caught in an extremely low tide. At the same time, I can really feel the vision of bringing all of my years of lived experience and training to bear in my eventual cranial sacral practice.
The training includes a Polarity Therapy certification as well. A core theme of polarity is the balancing of elemental opposites. At the last module, I had a pretty deep rebalancing with regards to the Water Element as it relates to needs. We do something called a 2 chair process where we sit in one chair with excess yang adaptation of an element, then change chairs and sit in the excess yin adaptation.
We did the water element which incorporates attachment and needs. In the yang chair we explored being isolated, distanced, anti-dependent and wantless. In the yin chair we explored over dependence, neediness, enmeshing. After switching chairs several times, you sit in the center. During the process, I left big loads of baggage in each of the chairs, and landed in a clear picture in the middle: I need help, need to ask for help, and need to accept help.
So here I am testing out my newly healed water element by asking you to help me with my low tide situation. Having found myself out of balance with the work load necessary to cover the cost of the training, I was encouraged to create a GoFundMe to ask for and receive the support I need to get to the end. So I am asking for contributions. Even a very small donation will register your vote of confidence that you believe in my ability to make it to the end, and that I have something of value to offer my community.
Know that this is a really uncomfortable growing edge of asking and receiving for me. I totally understand if you prefer not to give money. Even an encouraging note would be really nourishing for me.
For those local to Santa Fe, my vision is to specialize in head injuries and nervous system regulation.
Kind Regards,
Lea
