TRANSITIONS:
Warm greetings to you, dear students and community.
I'm aware that it's taken me some time to form a message and share it with you about the current path that's unfolding and shaping before me, until now.
As most of you may already know, I recently spent unplanned time in New Mexico, my homeland, due to an emergent and emergency health situation with my 82-year-old father who's always been quite robust and capable. He is a changed man. And he is healing and recovering too. I'm grateful.
While on the farm in Canada with Orphan Wisdom/Stephen Jenkinson I heard these words spoken: "I decided to choose spending time with my parents while they are living, not while they're dying," and it struck a chord in me that's been resonating and resounding. Then, with the events that literally immediately followed, I felt called by the clear message of return to be closer to him, to family, home.
Viroqua and the community here is truly amazing and has been a warm, welcoming, wonderful place to explore the deep depths and joyful heights of being human, and alive, and I've come to truly love this place, this land and its people. A sense of widening and ease moves through me as I write that. It's one hundred percent true. Truth. And now it's time to go...
What a gift too it's been to share yoga, one of the loves of my life, with you.
My exact departure date is not yet known, sometime later this month (so wild saying that and recognizing that it really is already September), and whether or not I'll offer any more classes before I go is also unsure. If, or when, I do, I will let you know, so keep an eye out for a Pop Up class or two, all willing. Until then, Alchemy Yoga takes pause, even as it lives on in the seeds that have been planted with each practice, each student, each breath.
I bow to you... the part of you that is also a part of me, and when we see each other there, and remember, we are one. In other words, namaste.
Respectfully, with deep gratitude, care, and love,
Jennifer
