The Legislative Education Study Committee (LESC) is meeting in Santa Fe, with both in-person and virtual public comment scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17. We would greatly appreciate having as many educators as possible speak to the urgent need for an 80/20 health care cost split for educators during this time. In addition, NEA New Mexico is hosting a legislative reception on Wednesday, December 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe Hilton, bringing together legislators and NEA NM members. Space is limited, and we are hoping each local might be able to send 20-25 members to attend.

All schools and district offices will open two hours later than their normal start time. Please allow extra time for travel and stay safe on the roads.
