Search for a New Location

Santa Fe Meditation Circle is continuing its search for a more permanent location, one in which we will not have to set up chairs and the altar each week. You are invited to help by investigating possible leads for rental spaces in the community.

If you see a “for lease” sign, feel free to call the number listed and inquire. If they do not have a location that fits the following parameters, you can ask the agent to keep us in mind and to call you if something possible does emerge.

We are looking for the following:

-Minimum 700-800 square feet, central location preferred
-Bathroom
-Sink and counter area with room for small refrigerator if one does not exist (will consider the space if it does not have this)
-Ample parking for 10-15 cars (more if possible)
-Easy access for persons with limited mobility (ground level preferred)
-1000-$1200. We would prefer that utilities be included but will consider paying them
-Temperature control (heating/air conditioning)
-Some amount of storage space/closet

Please keep SFMC and its search for a new home in your prayers.

Lessons Group Study

"When I am gone, the teachings will be the Guru. Through the teachings you will be in tune with me and the great Gurus who sent me."
–Paramahansa Yogananda

At least 10 years ago, a group of Santa Fe devotees began a weekly study of Guruji’s Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons, which has been an incredibly enriching experience. The group has now completed them all and has decided to begin a dedicated review again.

All those who are currently or who have been enrolled with the revised Lessons are warmly welcome to join. It will be online via Zoom with the hope that it might be in person once a location is determined. Each person reads a short passage from the Lesson followed by time for meditative reflection with no discussion.

Meeting together with people we know from our Circle and friends does much to support and strengthen our local spiritual fellowship—we hope you will consider joining the study group.

*For the first time they are available in digital format as well as print

*Each Lesson has a study and introspection guide with helpful videos

*They offer an opportunity for lifelong deepening of our understanding of Master's instruction to his disciples. We are sitting at his feet when we read these Lessons.

For information about enrolling in the Lessons as well as conference call details, please contact SFMC devotee Patricia at 505-690-0368 or patdobrin@gmail.com

All-Day Christmas Meditation

The all-day Christmas Meditation will be held December 13, 2025 beginning at 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at our current location, 933 Baca St. You are warmly welcome to attend this inspiring day of meditation, readings and chants. The day will consist of two periods of meditation and an intermission at 1 p.m. If you can only attend for part of the day, please come in the morning. No one will be admitted for only the afternoon portion. There will be a mid-day intermission. Feel free to bring personal shawls, meditation mats, cushions, arm rests for practice of the Aum Meditation Technique etc.
Guruji established the custom of commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ by dedicating a day of divine communion prior to December 25, which is traditionally observed as the social Christmas with festivities among relatives and friends.
How to prepare:
• Eat lightly (or not at all, if you prefer) before coming to the meditation. Do not bring food of any kind to the meditation (except an offering of fruit which will be shared as prasad at the conclusion of the day).

• Come in a silent, devotional mood. Make a special effort to put aside all thoughts of the outside world for this one day, and strive to keep your whole heart and mind occupied with God alone.

• Anyone with a cough or a cold or is sneezing should not attend the meditation.
• You may bring a monetary donation as an offering at the altar and a flower symbolizing our love and devotion to God and the Guru.
• Members should arrive a little early so they will have time to become comfortably settled and calm before the meditation begins. Devotees should dress warmly and comfortably, so you will be able to forget about the body. Wear loose clothing that is not restrictive and avoid any noise clothing such as nylon. You may practice the Energization Exercises if you come early as well as during the intermission.

Dear Devotees and Friends,

As you may know, Santa Fe Meditation Circle is in transition and needs to find a new location for our services. This could mean an affordable rental space, someone's home, a shared space or another location. If you know of a possible place, please let us know by contacting: santafe.srf@gmail.com

Also, we need volunteers to help search for a new location. Please consider if you could help serve Master's work in Santa Fe by serving on a search committee.
