Well it’s taken me a while to post this but I’m finally ready.
As many of my clients know, I had a accident back on January 17,2022, unfortunately I am not back to work. I know, it’s been over a year, but the nerves just are not working. I’m praying by February 28, 2023 the neurology department in the Methodist hospital in Houston will have better answers.
I am missing each of you,and of course, all of the horses I get the pleasure of putting my hands on. I will try and do a better job of keeping y’all posted.
I would appreciate your prayers.

I have not posted in quit awhile. I think it’s time to let you know that I am still not back to work, I’m praying I do get to come back, but it is looking pretty dim. I could use some prayers..
thank you all for your understanding and support.

A thought-provoking read.
By Jane Smiley
Most horses pass from one human to another - some horsemen and women are patient and forgiving, others are rigorous and demanding, others are cruel, others are ignorant.
Horses have to learn how to, at the minimum, walk, trot, canter, gallop, go on trails and maybe jump, to be treated by the vet, all with sense and good manners.
Talented Thoroughbreds must learn how to win races, and if they can't do that, they must learn how to negotiate courses and jump over strange obstacles without touching them, or do complicated dance
like movements or control cattle or accommodate severely handicapped children and adults in therapy work.
Many horses learn all of these things in the course of a single lifetime. Besides this, they learn to understand and fit into the successive social systems of other horses they meet along the way.
A horse's life is rather like twenty years in foster care, or in and out of prison, while at the same time changing schools over and over and discovering that not only do the other students already have their own social groups, but that what you learned at the old school hasn't much application at the new one.
We do not require as much of any other species, including humans.
That horses frequently excel, that they exceed the expectations of their owners and trainers in such circumstances, is as much a testament to their intelligence and adaptability as to their relationship skills or their natural generosity or their inborn nature. That they sometimes manifest the same symptoms as abandoned orphans - distress, strange behaviors, anger, fear - is less surprising than that they usually don't.
No one expects a child, or even a dog to develop its intellectual capacities living in a box 23 hours a day and then doing controlled exercises the remaining one.
Mammal minds develop through social interaction and stimulation.
A horse that seems "stupid", "slow", "stubborn", etc. might just have not gotten the chance to learn!
Take care of your horses and treasure them.

FRAUD ALERT:
Someone from Africa is using my email to phish for your information.
They are sending out emails that look like they come from PayPal and saying I purchased dog food from chewy with peoples PayPal accounts. In actuality if you click on the bottom of that email that ask if you did not make this purchase click “help’ you then are rerouted to what looks like the PayPal log in. Then once you are in, it asks for all the info that you gave to a PayPal to start your account. Please if you check you PayPal, do it from the original PayPal not through that link from the email.
I made the mistake of hitting that “help” button when an email I received asking if I ordered a North Face jacket.

Today I worked on Freckles, his owner, Shannon Dawson at Dawson Equestrian Facility had mentioned that Freckles neck felt like he had knots in it, well let me tell you he sure did. The harder I massaged the more he leaned into me and the more reactions he made.
Sure love this boy!

Why Massage
A PRE-EVENT SPORTS MASSAGE loosens, warms and readies the muscles for an event
A POST-EVENT SOORTS MASSAGE relieves muscle pain and stiffness by returning the muscles to a normal state much faster then if they’d been allowed to go without a massage. After vigorous exercise, dehydration takes place in the horse and with the loss of fluids, it’s harder for him to cool down.
A Sports Massage helps keep the entire body in better physical condition.
