Jo Ann Yoga Jo Ann Yoga is based on B.K.S. Iyengar tradition, offered in Santa Fe and Los Alamos, New Mexico. You can join a class once or twice a week if you can.

Yoga & Sports

Jo Ann has trained a wide variety of athletes toward success including, Olympians, skiers, bikers, and a high-school level wrestling team on their path toward success. She also helped many with their rehabilitation from tired, strained mussels, and injuries. She believes in “active recovery” strategies, and tested them on her own injuries, achieving mobility, strength, hence regaining motivation to continue her many athletic endeavors. Shiatsu Massage

Schedule a session to complement your yoga practice and the all-body healing process. During your first Shiatsu massage,
Jo Ann will advise you on the most optimal healing regiment that will include Iyengar yoga routines as well. Yoga Retreats

Retreats at the Guadalupe Abbey Monastery, set in the Pecos Mountains, are offered in the spring and fall. They will invigorate you because of the peaceful natural surroundings, where you can escape your daily routines and switch off from technology.

Yoga For Jo Ann Is Not Just A Passion But A Way Of Life

Jo Ann was trained in the Iyengar tradition, and started to practice yoga in the 80’s, initially with B. K. S. Iyengar in the US, then subsequently with Ramanand Patel in the US and India, and repeatedly with Patricia Walden. Her pursuit of yoga practice complements her education in Asian Studies from Puget Sound University in Tacoma, WA, and a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Jo Ann also holds a Shiatsu massage license.

In her yoga practice, Jo Ann emphasizes the power of breathing, while offering individual attention and guidance leading students towards healing and strength.
