is celebrated every second Monday in October with the goal of honoring, commemorating, and uplifting the many tribes and cultures that have a deep-rooted claim to this land.

Coming out can be just as scary as it is liberating, and no two coming out stories are exactly the same. Whether you are open with every person you meet, sharing yourself with a trusted few, or working on finding courage while within the closet, your story matters!

It's ! While last year's focus/theme was about putting a spotlight on mental health in workplace (still no less important now, of course) this year the focus is, crucially, on those who are effected by various humanitarian emergencies.

Or, as the World Health Organization (WHO) put it: "Crises such as natural disasters, conflicts, and public health emergencies cause emotional distress...Supporting the mental well-being of individuals during such crises is not just important – it saves lives, gives people the strength to cope, the space to heal and to recover and rebuild not only as individuals but as communities."

If you, or a loved one of yours, has served in the military and is seeking therapy, VetWell was designed with you in mind (and is FREE of cost). We serve veterans and their *entire family units* (friends, spouses, children, etc) with the goal of providing therapeutic and case management support that is more accessible to veterans within our community.

TO JOIN: Please contact our Central Coast Hotline (that's right, you don't have to be in crisis to reach us) at (800) 783-0607 for information/referral.

If you are interested in attending, the PCPA over in Santa Maria is hosting performances for most of this month (tickets are on their website now).

PLEASE BE ADVISED: this play discusses mental health issues and as such "contains themes of depression and su***de that are explored with care, humor, and humanity." TMHA will also be there, providing resources.
