Please read the entire message for 30 MDG closure and COVID testing procedures next week.

The 30 MDG will be closed on Thursday, 16 June for Readiness Training and will have limited operations on Friday 17 June due to Juneteenth Federal Holiday. Those limited operations will include patient appointments from 0730-1130 which can be scheduled via 805-606-CARE and pharmacy services from 0730-1700.

COVID TESTING UPDATE
Wednesday, 15 June, will be the last day of drive through COVID testing. Beginning on Tuesday, 21 June, we will resume walk-in PCR testing through your PCM clinic. There will be no COVID testing on 16-17 June.

You can still obtain your OTC test kits from the pharmacy during normal operating hours.

Starting 31 May 2022, 30 MDG is restarting drive-thru PCR COVID tests at our parking lot (with big green test) from 0900-0945 on weekdays. No appointment is necessary. Same day results are available in the patient portal at TRICARE Online .

Antigen COVID tests are still available in the pharmacy for pick-up.

**PHARMACY UPDATE**

We are happy to report that demolition and repairs to the damaged areas within the pharmacy are underway. While we still have limited operations, our pharmacy team's hard work has enabled us a few additional avenues for our beneficiaries to fill their prescriptions.

Some medications can be filled directly by the 30MDG pharmacy team in the clinic.

Some medications not available at the 30MDG will be transferred to an off base pharmacy for quick access. Tricare co-pay information is found at Tricare.mil

Medication refrills and long term medications will be filled at Travis Air Force Base and transported to the 30MDG twice a week. The expected turnaround time for these medications is 5 days. When calling in refills, please plan accordingly.

Team Vandenberg,

Last week, the 30MDG experienced what we are referring to as The flood of 2022" from a broken valvue on the second floor. The broken valve and subsequent flooding are not related to our current renovation project. The damage caused both water and HVAC coolant to flood into multiple sections of the building. The damage is extensive in many areas and has unfortunately decommissioned our pharmacy for the next two weeks. Our pharmacy, facilities, and logistics sections are working overtime to find alternate sources for our beneficiares to obtain their medications and get our facility back to functional.

Below are just a few photos of the damage within the pharmacy! We understand the continued fluctuation can be frustrating but assure you we are working mutliple avenues to try and restore all capabilities in the safest and most timely fashion. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Due to a broken water valve, the pharmacy, radiology and out patient records will be closed until further notice.

Our Facilities team is working hard to get everything clean, dry and safe to resume patient care in those sections. We will update this post once any or all of those sections are availabile.

The 30th MDG is looking for a full time Physical Therapist. Starting salary $91,254.

Physical Therapist, GS-0633(81) -12

To serve as a fully licensed and priviledged Physical Therapist responsible for the full range of physical therapy patient care, including comprehensive evaluations of patients using screening and diagnostic testing, and associated administrative duties at the military treatment facility (MTF) for the local Air Force installation. The position performs the more complex advanced clinical specialist duties as a phyiscian extender.

On Monday, April 18th your Space Medics will be supporting an official installation event along with the potential NRO launch. We will not have patient care appointments available however ancillary services will be available. To ensure you’re able to receive proper medical care in a timely fashion the Nurse Advice Line (NAL) will be on.

The 30th Medical Group Immunizations Clinic will now be giving the 2nd booster to the following members:

- Members who have received 3 J&J vaccines
- Members 12 and older that are immunocompromised
- Members 50 and older that have received the 1st booster at least 4 months ago

We have both Pfizer and Moderna available.

Please be aware that wait times at the Immunizations Clinic may be longer than normal due to this update.
