This special benefit evening supports Good Samaritan Shelter, dedicated to transforming the lives of the Central Coast’s most vulnerable populations.

The evening will feature the premiere of Hope Lives Here: Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness, a Meg Ryan Empowered Film, featuring the transformative work of Good Samaritan Shelters.

The audience will be treated to a musical performance by Lois Mahalia and an intimate conversation between actor Duane Henry and Sylvia Barnard, Executive Director of Good Samaritan.

This inspiring evening is designed to bring the community together—raising awareness, celebrating resilience, and helping break the cycle of homelessness.

**VIP guests will enjoy a reception featuring farm-to-table cuisine prepared by Good Samaritan’s Culinary Training Program, with ingredients grown at Bridgehouse Farm.

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as seasonal Warming Shelter staff. These crucial roles are activated during critical weather conditions, providing warmth and safety to vulnerable populations. Open shifts run from 6 PM to 6 AM, and positions are available from November 15 to March 31. Interested candidates are encouraged to attend our hiring event on October 3rd, 2025, from 12 PM to 4 PM at our Dining Hall located at 401 Morrison Ave, Santa Maria, CA. Together, we can make a significant impact during the harsh winter months.
