Hi friends! We’re preparing for a powerful evening on April 17th, celebrating the life-changing work happening in our community—and we’d love for you to be part of it. What a gift to honor our past and current volunteer client advocates! They have made a difference in their clients’ lives in so many ways — an encouraging word, a prayer, parenting tools, or just taking the time to listen and empathize. Board and staff appreciate their role in keeping the day-to-day going, and how faithful they are! They help clients navigate pregnancy decisions, assist with ultrasound appointments, faciliate parenting classes, gather baby clothing and diapers, or walk women through healing from a past abortion. They provided over 2,500 volunteer hours this year, each hour investing into their client to bring help, hope and healing. Grateful and so thankful for you all! ❤️

Happy anniversary to Care Net! 🎂 We first opened our doors on this day in 1990 knowing our community needed a place that women could come to — free of charge — as they navigated their pregnancy decision. If we could only quantify the generations today that have been impacted for LIFE because of our services. 🙌🏻 As we wrap up our 35th year of serving women, men and their families, we are thankful for the expansion of services that we’ve been able to add over the years because of the prayers and financial support of individuals, families, businesses and churches. Together we are making a difference in our community and in future generations.

We are excited for our 36th year AND our new location. The Lord has been so good to us and we can’t wait to continue providing help, hope and healing in our new space.

Hey all! Each month I give a portion of my profits from bread sales to a different non profit and starting October 1st, 20% of profits will go to Care Net Pregnancy and Resource Center of Santa Maria!

Free of change, Care Net provides pregnancy tests, ultrasound, parenting classes, baby clothing and supplies and healing from abortion. As a non-profit, they have served the community for 35 years and are excited about moving into their very own building that has been prayed for since the day the pregnancy center opened! A percentage of the proceeds this month from bread sales will go towards the building fund and their upcoming renovations cost to make Care Net an updated and welcoming place for moms, dads, and families. Did you know at least 80% of child car seats are installed incorrectly? Last week, Christina Soltan, Executive Director, and Ismeni Uribe, Client Services Director, in conjunction with Cottage Hospital Trauma Unit, completed 35 hours of car seat training and received certification in Child Passenger Safety. Along with the CHP and Fire Dept that also provides this service, Care Net can also assist parents, in both English and Spanish, in ensuring their child's car seat is installed correctly. We check for a secured latch/lock, harness, anchors and tethers, any recalls or expiration dates, and provide guidance on weight limits, car seat recommendations, and any non-compliant accessories.

If you would like us to inspect or help you install your child's car seat(s), give us a call (805) 928-9285 to set-up an appt day/time. Please note that the inspection/install takes approx 30-45 minutes and would take place at our location in Santa Maria.

This is just another way that Care Net is coming alongside parents and families, giving them the confidence that their child is traveling safely in the back seat.

Hi! Our clothing for girls (newborn to 24 months) is pretty low. If you’re looking for a place to donate gently used clothing, Care Net would love them! Parents in our parenting program can shop each week for the items they need. For some clients, we are their only resource so your donation can help make a difference. 💛
You can drop off clothing at our office located at 201 S Miller, Ste 101
Hours: Mondays 10-2, Tues/Weds 10-4 and Thurs 1-6 (closed Fridays)

We are excited about our Building Legacies for Life campaign for our new building! Keep watch for our newsletter that was mailed out today, and if you want to buy a square foot within the next 90-days to help with renovation costs, that would be amazing! We received a check today from a supporter who claimed several squares in different rooms. Love that!
