Hi! Our clothing for girls (newborn to 24 months) is pretty low. If you’re looking for a place to donate gently used clothing, Care Net would love them! Parents in our parenting program can shop each week for the items they need. For some clients, we are their only resource so your donation can help make a difference. 💛
You can drop off clothing at our office located at 201 S Miller, Ste 101
Hours: Mondays 10-2, Tues/Weds 10-4 and Thurs 1-6 (closed Fridays)

We are excited about our Building Legacies for Life campaign for our new building! Keep watch for our newsletter that was mailed out today, and if you want to buy a square foot within the next 90-days to help with renovation costs, that would be amazing! We received a check today from a supporter who claimed several squares in different rooms. Love that! Every square foot matters because it will provide help, hope and healing. 🙌🏻 Thank you, in advance!

Time to restock! ✅ Supplying parents with diapers and wipes is just one of the ways we get to support them and their baby. 💛 Clients can get 2 dozen diapers and a pack of wipes each week through our parenting program, and we know it’s a huge help for them. Did you know we facilitate 90-100 classes each month? We love making an impact in this way! If you ever wonder how you can help your local pregnancy center, a box of diapers or wipes are always a need. 😊

Roland C. Warren is an accomplished author and serves as president and CEO of Care Net. His first two books, Bad Dads of the Bible: 8 Mistakes Every Good Dad Can Avoid (Zondervan) and Raising Sons of Promise: A Guide to Single Mothers of Boys (InterVarsity Press), have helped fathers and mothers apply biblical principles to their parenting journeys. His latest book, The Alternative to Abortion: Why We Must Be Pro Abundant Life, guides Christians on a new way forward for the pro-life movement in the aftermath of the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

His background in the corporate world, his extensive experience in nonprofit management, and his deep faith and understanding of Scripture enable him to lead Care Net’s efforts to transform people with the Gospel, empowering women and men to choose life for their unborn children and abundant life for their families.

Care Net has been serving the community since 1990. Each year we see over 400 clients and provide over two thousand services a year.

A special thanks to the local churches honoring Sanctity of Human Life Sunday today. We spoke at Pacific Christian and First Church of God, and Calvary Chapel shared our center video. Foursquare distributed our bulletins while sharing about our mission, and Lifeway Fellowship set up a table and handed out baby bottles to their congregation. Thank you all! Next Sunday we will be at South Valley Community Church, and First Baptist will be showing our center video as well as a short presentation on the ministry by our Board President. Happy 34th year to us! Care Net first opened its doors on this day in 1990 and has helped thousands of women, men and their families. We strive to be a ministry of compassion, hope and help and could not do any of it within the faithful support of our donors and volunteers.

🌟 We have so many beautiful stories of clients choosing life and how they felt welcomed walking through our doors.

🌟 We continue to reach moms and dads with young children who are thankful for the tools provided to them to be a better parent.

🌟 We helped over 150 families this year that are not in our program with diapers, wipes and/or baby clothing. They were so grateful.

🌟 And the healing that women received from their past abortions through our post-abortion support group - so wonderful! They received God’s gifts of freedom and forgiveness.

So many great things! And, woven into every story is God’s grace and love and it’s why we do what we do!

Thankful. Grateful. Blessed.

We love joining forces! ⚔️ So thankful for Bakersfield Pregnancy Center for their expertise in helping us get started with a dad’s curriculum for new and expectant fathers. The greatest thing for a baby and the baby’s mother is for him to be present and engaged. But if he hasn’t had a positive role model, how is that possible? That’s where we can come in. Dads are so important! We had a great time at the Santa Maria Open Streets Calles Vivas 2024 yesterday. Bringing awareness of our free services and being present in our community is something we love to do. So many stories … “you saved my baby” one woman said, sharing of how we helped her with her pregnancy decision. People pointing at us, smiling, saying, “love what you do!” as they strolled by. Couples seeing our fetal models and showing their children just how small — but significant — they were in the womb. One couple shared of their daughter being born at 27 weeks, a true miracle. Also, hearing stories of heartbreak from those who made the decision of abortion and want healing. So thankful for what we do and have done for 34 years.
