Nordic Body Malin is the CEO & Founder of Nordic Body - a walking & fitness club for the 50+ crowd. The first 1-mile walking loop opened in Santa Monica on June 29, 2019.

Whether she works out Jane Fonda or people that have never worked out – her mission is the same: to strengthen the body & mind to age with confidence. Originally from Sweden, Malin Svensson came to Los Angeles in 1989 with a master’s degree in Physical Education and became certified by NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) in 2000. A former nationally ranked runner with over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, Malin is the CEO & Founder of Nordic Body - a walking and fitness club committed to inspiring the 50+ crowd to live a fun, healthy, and fulfilling life by providing 360-degree support from online to live programs including holistic fitness retreats, private sessions, workshops, and community classes. Malin is also an International Fitness Coach/Author/Speaker and her third published book “WAKE UP Your Body + Mind After 50!” launched on November 17, 2020. Whether she works out fitness guru Jane Fonda or people that have never worked out a day in their lives – her mission is the same: to strengthen the body and mind to age with confidence. Malin has been featured as a walking and fitness expert in several media outlets like CBS Los Angeles, LA Times, The NY Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Fitness magazine. She brought Nordic Walking to North America in 2002 and is one of the leading authorities in Nordic Walking worldwide. Her passion for making a difference in people’s wellbeing is further expressed by her organization Adopt-A-Walk.

🌟 October 9 is Ageism Awareness Day 🌟
Hi I'm Malin Svensson, the celebrity trainer to the 50+ including Jane Fonda and Jamie Lee Curtis. Join me in conversation with my incredible clients and friends here on my podcast "Age & Attitude." We'll talk about one of my favorite subjects: how to empower and embrace aging. Think about it: How do you view aging? As an arch or ascending staircase? When I was 12, I saw a painting depicting life from birth to death in the form of an arch where you were on the top at age 50 but then it was all downhill. I remember thinking to myself, I am not going to live my life like that. I'm going to live it like an ascending staircase where each new decade is a new chapter, a new adventure and new growth. That day, the seed was planted. My passion and mission for the past 35 years has been to empower the 50+ crowd to live a fun, healthy and fulfilling life at any age.

The reason for this podcast? I get so annoyed when people start talking about age as a limitation for what you can or can't do. Personally, I'm 64 and my life is better than ever. When we put limitations on ourselves or each other, it can lead to feelings of depression, loneliness, and isolation — all factors that can increase with aging. One solution is to be part of an active and supportive community. I'm big on creating community. Whether it's with my one-on-one clients, online members and academy. Malin takes you through nine unique strength training exercises designed for the 50+ body. She will demonstrate and provide detailed instructions on three different levels of difficulty to make sure you do the exercises correctly to decrease pain and prevent injuries while you're getting stronger! The Saturday workout also includes the Nordic Body Dynamic Drill of the Month. Here you will practice a mixture of balance, coordination, speed, reaction, mobility, and flexibility.

Congratulations to an exceptional movie. Everyone has to see “The Lost Bus” - the story, cinematography, sound, acting were so superb that it felt like you were there.

This movie is based on a true story from the devastating fires in Paradise, Northern California in 2018.

It was so powerful and so intense our hearts were still pumping afterwards. We were totally exhausted. I can’t remember the last time a movie had this effect on me. Please watch it on the big screen. It will be available for another week in Los Angeles.

My heart goes out again to anyone who’s been affected by any fires. 🔥 There used to be one season. Now it’s all year around.
