From Trauma to Triumph: How I Turned My Pain Into My Purpose
In 2007, I was lost. I weighed over 350 pounds, stuck in an abusive relationship, working at McDonald’s, feeling completely worthless. I hated my job, but at least it kept me moving—kept me from drowning in the feeling that I didn’t matter.
But deep down, I KNEW that wasn’t really me. I wasn’t that broken, beaten-down version of myself.
Then my grandmother, who has since passed, invited me to watch The Secret. She handed me a notebook and told me to write my goals as if they were already achieved. And one of the voices that stood out the most in that film? Dr. John Demartini.
That moment was the first time I truly believed maybe—just maybe—there was more for me.
Fast-Forward to 2025: A Dream Fulfilled
On February 12, 2025, I sat down with Dr. Demartini for an interview on my platform. The man who helped start my journey back to self-worth was now speaking on my show—for FREE. I felt like I was sitting with my grandmother again. It was one of the most surreal moments of my life.
And here’s the thing—I barely even spoke. I was so in awe, so deeply present, that I just listened. But what Dr. Demartini doesn’t know—what I never got to tell him—is that he helped save my life.
The Truth About Trauma: My Wound Became My Gift
For years, I carried the weight of my past—literally and figuratively. The trauma of being r***d. The molestation by my own father. The physical and verbal abuse I endured as a child and young adult. I buried it deep, thinking that if I ignored it, I could move on.
But trauma doesn’t just disappear. It stays locked in the body. It keeps you stuck. It convinces you that you’re unworthy of happiness, success, or love.
I had to RELEASE that pain in order to heal—not just so I could keep the weight off for good, but so I could finally step into my purpose.
And now? I see the truth.
The wound is the way.
My trauma, my pain, my darkest moments—they weren’t punishments. They were gifts. They created a void in me, and that void became the foundation for my vision. Now, through I’m Worth It Inc., I help others heal their wounds, create their vision, and empower those around them.

This may seem insignificant to you--But It is HUGE to ME---

THAT IS NOT the issue….

MY ANGER--because of how many times I WAS USED--“I’m curious, What does your business do?”

TWICE today men told me how beautiful I am--I WAS OPEN, WILLING, RECEPTIVE AND RESPONSIVE

There is a huge distinction between “I do this just for the money” and "I only do this for the money.”

You're afraid you're either not going to get any comments, or you're not you're only going to get negative comments. You're afraid of the hatred. You're afraid of the negativity. Afraid of not knowing if you're making a difference, not knowing if what you're doing is working.

You know, it's funny, since I've gone back to when I “accidentally” started my YouTube channel (I didn’t know how to make it “private” watch the episode, you’ll see more on that)

“I'm just gonna create it. If nobody likes it, then I like it and I'm proud of what I did.”

INSANE RESULTS FROM OTHERS TOO! I get MORE views, MORE likes, MORE positive comments!

You may not get paid today. You may not get paid next year, but eventually you're going to be so good that they cannot ignore you, and you will get paid!

The point of being a professional is just showing up every day no matter what. And then putting your stuff out there without the fear of not having the compensation for it--- In whatever form that may be ----money, accolades, the cheers.

Originally, this was titled "Teen Liberty" because I was writing to my former self and in the end, my future self--THE PERSON I WANT TO HELP! (YOU) Now, well...JUST READ IT!! YOU ARE WORTH IT! You picked up your first drink when you were 12, and started drinking every day, and you gave up dance class. You gave up making music.

You quit talking to healthy people. You quit going to all your groups. You quit spending time alone reading, researching, writing, singing, dressing up. Putting on plays with your raggedy ann and andy dolls and your barbies.

Then one day, you found my YouTube channel. And you started hearing me say “You’re worth it” and you binged on a ton of my content. You found my music, my movies and you saw how much I accomplished in my late 30s and early 40s, and it inspired you.

You started watching my youtube channel every day and you started to comment.. You became part of the I'm Worth It Inc. community. You and I had conversations in the comments every day.

One day, you went to a friend’s house, and they offered you fentanyl. My words “you’re worth it” rang in your ears and stung your soul. You ran out of the house and never went back to that friend.

You bought my classes and you learned how to be assertive, you learned boundaries, and you learned self esteem, self care, discipline, self control and you learned what you really wanted in life.

You remembered who you really are. You went back to making music and you went back to positive communities like dance class, music mixing class and you met some great friends with your similar goals.

You built your team and started making amazing music and you got a videographer and started making epic music videos that were more like movies, like Michael Jackson, Imagine Dragons and Eminem.

Now at 22, you’re a multi millionaire and you say I was the one that started your journey

This girl's name is Lillyanna. I can't believe I remember that! She saw me in the Erie airport when I was returning home here to Los Angeles (AH! AM I STILL SAYING THAT! I AM LIVING MY DREAM??!) visiting my family in PA. She was staring and never said hi. In Philly, I told her how much I admired her outfit, including Cat ears (NO REASON, SHE JUST WANTED TO DRESS LIKE A CAT THAT DAY!) she told me she's watched "WAYYY TOO MANY of my YouTUbe shows and cover songs" and SHE LOVES my channel! MY FIRST FAN! She lives iN Columbia, SC..I haven't seen or heard from her since.. BUT I KNEW I HAD A RESPONSIBILITY WHEN I MET LILLYANNA! YOU (WHOEVER YOU ARE READING-YOU ARE LILLYANNA TOO! Do you want someone else controlling you?

Of course not nobody wants that! Then take your power back!

When every good driver gets into their car they know one thing: That they cannot control the other drivers

They can only control themselves.

So they need to control their emotions and they need to control their attention.

They have their attention on the road ahead because when it comes to the end of it you can say it was

their fault they hit me they weren't looking where they were going they ran a red light but guess what is

that going to stop you from bleeding when you get into the car accident? Being hit by that truck I could

have made two choices. I could have allowed it to stop me and feel like a victim and “boohoo I'm so sad

I'm in so much pain, poor me poor me please help me it's all his fault” OR what I ACTUALLY did. I chose

to look at it as an opportunity to feel more powerful because guess what? No matter what happens in my

life I am in control. I am responsible and I looked at it this happened for me getting hit by this truck

happened for Me. Why? To show me how strong I am. To show me that I am in control and to make me

stop doubting myself. I'm worth it! You can only control yourself. When you're on the road and other

people are not paying attention, can you control them? Then why do you keep honking at everyone?

Honking at people all the time trying to prevent their mistakes or telling them the mistakes that they made

guess what? They don't care. You can't control them. They don't care--but you have to care and care

about yourself. Control yourself. Be prepared that other people are not prepared. And they are not paying

attention. You honking at everyone else-- it's only driving yourself insane. And it's driving other people

away from you. The healthy relationships that you could have are being driven away from you. You can

only control yourself. You are responsible for one person and that is yourself. So be prepared and be

emotionally resilient. When we give away the blame responsibility, we give away our power. Take the

responsibility-- take your power back! You're worth it. When that truck hit me--it was the truck's fault. They

ran the light if I had the right of way but guess what? I don't need to give them the blame. I'm not

responsible for them and they ran the light. I'm not responsible for that. I'm not responsible for them

hitting me. I AM responsible for the way that I perceive it. Do you want someone else controlling you? of

course not. Nobody wants that. Then take your power back. Stop blaming other people for your

emotions. You can choose the way that you feel.

You can choose the way that you react to a person or a situation. So next time something or somebody

“makes you feel bad” then reconsider. “I choose the way that I feel and the way that I see this situation”.

Take your power back! You're worth it!
