Since it’s January and many of you are likely focused on eating well, a couple of promos via friends who are doing awesome things with their skills around recipe creation and healthy eating. First, congratulations to my friend Carrie Gabriel, I.e, Steps2Nutrition, for publishing her e-book re: winter whole food recipes! Check out these easy creations here —

Hey there Instagram,
I am proud to FINALLY announce the launch of my new e-book, WINTER WHOLE FOOD RECIPES.

I never thought that putting this together would take so long but I really wanted to take all the pictures and do it ALL myself! Well, in the end I ended up outsourcing some of the design, but I still learned a lot! You definitely need to love what you’re doing 😊❤️

This book is a collection of a few different whole food based recipes I enjoy and make often that I wanted to share with you!
There is something for everyone, some gluten-free, some happens to be vegan and vegetarian, but what all the recipes have in common is they use fresh food, and that makes a huge difference!
All of these recipes can be make in bulk as well for meal prep, if that is something you do, so keep that in mind as well

To purchase, click on the link in my bio and go to “winter whole foods e-book”. That should get you there....
Special thanks to And for your help with this ❤️❤️

Happy February, everyone! I’ve always thought that February 1 is a better time to check in with yourself about goals and intentions for the new year than January 1. By now you’ve had a chance to think about what you want to change or do differently in this new year.

How are you doing with that? Take some time today to evaluate what has been going well and what you would like to adjust. I think there is much to be said for this evaluation and self-assessment period... And if you’ve been thinking about a personal or professional goal all month last month, but could never really get to it, this is the perfect time to start and get going with what you want to do… just press play and go! 🌟☀️

New Years Day can often feel a bit like this..... being underwater while still trying to celebrate and cheer a new year. It can be overwhelming due to exhaustion, self-imposed pressure to create intentions/resolutions/goals. My two cents of advice through these first few early hours, days, even weeks of January — take your time. Ease in. Get to know this new year a bit before coming to any conclusions about what will serve you going forward. And soon you will be swimming gloriously at the surface, underwater no more!

For the past couple of weeks, I have been doing this squat challenge with some friends... we are on different schedules (today was 90 for me), but a pillar of accountability with exercise, I find, is to workout with some friends.... suffering is better together!! 😎😎👍💪🏻💪🏽

The dishwasher I bought that was supposed to be delivered last week isn’t here yet. I called the delivery company and they aren’t even sure where it is. The quote I requested from a fence company to fix my fence (a project worth a couple grand) still hasn’t come through. I was told I’d hear about th...

We were chatting about Ironman when he asked what made me stick to my decision to compete in Ironman competitions. He said “I imagine there were a lot of people telling you that you shouldn’t do it, and with your injuries it must have been scary. How did you know you’d made the right decision?”

Something many of us struggle with is the time and inclination to cook at home.... Here is a compelling info-graphic that presents the value of cooking (and eating) at home from a health and longevity standpoint. Coming at home may be a key to living longer and being healthier! http://www.yesmagazine.org/issues/how-to-eat-like-our-lives-depend-on-it/it-s-time-to-reclaim-your-kitchen
